Why don't we have reasonable Practice sessions?

Of course, you can practice offline. But it’s not the same. Unfortunately, I don't find it very enjoyable. Plus, you don't get to practice racing alongside other human players to develop racecraft. That is also my biggest criticism of LMU; iRacing does a significantly better job in this regard.

So in short you don't really want a practice server but a server to practice racecraft on any race track. => That could be great :)
I think that could be good but how you manage it (incident, etc...)

If you go to a pratice server to racecraft and you do it with someone who want to learn the track.... You are not on the same vibe....

Why would I need my own server to practice racecraft? Racecraft is developed when I’m out on a practice server alongside other human drivers. It doesn’t work with AI drivers alone, as they always follow a set pattern.
My only issue is the lack of available time on the LMU practice servers.

i don't say your own :)
I say a server tag as a racecraft practice server on a random track running 24/7. With a Track changing every Day or two days

A practice server is not only for racecraft so....

and that doesn't remove
- cost factor for LMU
- report system/how do you manage a bad driver in those server ?

I'll repeat that a few weeks ago, I had no problem with available daily, bronze and silver, practice session duration. Even going back a few months, there were even longer practice session lengths. The practice sessions are too short now. And, this having to wait to be let on the servers is a very frustrating, negative online sim racing experience.

The training servers at LMU are a complete joke. How can such an essential aspect of the experience be implemented so poorly? A training server also has a social impact and is part of the experience. You study other drivers, learn from them, compare yourself, and so on. Offline training never has the same character as online training.

397 should communicate on this part :)
Maybe they shorten the practice cause almost no one was using it.

sorry but as i'm agree with all people asking for a Racecraft practice. I can't consider current practice server as something valide for racecraft.

Practice server are for practice : try stuff/Learn track with people, Check the weather (i hate this part) not specially for racecraft.
You can't expect people coming to practice server with the same goal.

IMO :
Practice server should be gone
Racecraft server 24/7 on a random track/condition should be implement.

Don't fix the main trouble how do you deal with toxic driver ?
- Between the one who think you intent wreck just because you drive hard and the real intent wrecker.... There is a world

Last championship a dude report me. dismissed by steward.
I watch the ALL race on his POV I never freaking touch him....
=> Those guys are the main trouble for stewarding.

So in any racecraftt server those guys will flood steward with false report

On the current daily races practice servers I try to get the best lap time I can and if some close racing happens, its all the better. I am enjoying the hosted long practice servers, especially the all classes servers.

Does no one else just find online practice sessions infuriating though? Joining players (which happens constantly) causes visual and FFB stutters, an issue that’s been there since release. Despite the studio’s efforts, it seems to have gotten worse recently.
agreed and complained about myself

except you don't pay a subscription for practice server....
Practice server are part of the Free experience.... there is no line for Extended practice server on the subscription

The bigger issue for me is that the offline mode seems set up to irritate you. Why can't someone save their practice track setups and load them from the initial Raceweek menu?

We're still blocked from servers for several minutes in bronze and silver pre-registration daily races practice servers for several minutes. Why?

AI says: "Seeing low-occupancy servers (like 3 or 4 drivers out of 24) while the rest of the player base remains locked out confirms you are dealing with a known, widespread UI synchronization bug in Le Mans Ultimate." [1, 2]

Sounds about right.

Me: "it did not used to be such short remaining sessions. Sessions got too short around the V1.3 update!"

AI; "Your memory is exactly right—the timeline fits perfectly. The frustration you are feeling is a direct consequence of the V1.3 update architecture changes, which dramatically reduced the time drivers get on standard online practice servers.
The V1.3 update overhauled the online server logic and introduced several hidden changes that shrank your practice window.

How the V1.3 Update Broke Practice

1. The Switch to "Coherent" UI Middleware
In V1.3, Studio 397 completely stripped out the old CEF menu system and replaced it with a new UI engine called Coherent. While it fixed several system crashes and menus loading faster, it introduced an interface synchronization lag. The server browser frequently fails to realize a server is open for business. This adds a 3 to 4 minute silent delay to every single session swap while your client waits to register the change.

2. Dynamic Schedule Shrinkage
To accommodate a higher frequency of Bronze and Silver daily races, the underlying server cycles were shortened. The standard practice servers were tightly locked into rigid 18-to-30 minute window intervals. When you subtract the 4-minute boot bottleneck and the 5-minute pre-race split calculation lockouts, your actual track availability has dropped to roughly 10 to 12 minutes total.

3. The Tire Warm-Up PenaltyThe shorter sessions became a severe issue around V1.3 due to the revamped tire physics. In Hypercars and GT3s, it now takes 3 to 4 complete laps just to get heat into the core carcass. Because the sessions are too short, by the time your tires finally reach optimal working temperature, the session is already force-closing and resetting.

4. Paywall Tier SeparationsThe patch restructured RaceControl tiers. Paid subscribers get routed to longer, dedicated practice cycles. Free "Lite" users are forced into heavily cycled "warm-up" instances that spin down much faster to free up server hardware for the main splits. "

... it broke practice alright!

That's the problem right there!
