Hello 🖐️,

I have just installed the update & when I start LMU in VR mode & then want to move the LMU window,
it jumps straight down as soon as I click on the upper window frame.

If I then let the taskbar automatically hide in the taskbar settings,
the LMU window appears once again, but if I then click on the upper frame again to move it,
it jumps back down.

It really resists coming back into the spotlight :ROFLMAO:

Since the taskbar is still automatically hidden, you can see a small part of the LMU window,
just enough to see the label (Le Mans Ultimate v0.4000) & the three typical window symbols on the right.

In VR mode I have set the LMU window (1280x720) smaller than the monitor (1920x1080) so that I can always
put the LMU window in the top right & the Oculus Debug Tool in the bottom left. This way I can use the tool
even when I am wearing the VR glasses & for example select the different displays in the Performance HUD.

Oh, with ALT+TAB you can't get the LMU window back into focus either.

You can't do anything in VR view because the mouse pointer is always stuck at the top of the (x=0) line.
You can only move the mouse pointer back & forth on this line, but not a millimeter downwards.

The only solution for me so far : Don't move the LMU window !!

The exact same thing happens to me since the update the other day.

I can work around the issue using an application that moves Windows windows in a Linux-style manner (AltDrag), but I hope it gets fixed soon

This has bugged me for a while.
Win 11 23H2
Version 10.0.22631 Build 22631

LMU in windowed mode.

If you try to grab and move the window, it goes through an animated 'shrink' routine down to the start bar - clicking on the icon on the bar does not restore it, nor can you alt-tab to it. Right clicking on the icon in the bar and selecting the LMU option (only other options are Pin To Taskbar and Close Window) initiates a Bugsplat - easily repeatable. LMU does not crash - have to Stop it via Steam.

Is there some setting to force it to act like a normal window?

QA have been unable to repro on 22H2 and 24H2, could be a Windows version specific issue.

Try pressing Windows Key and an arrow to lock it to left/right/top/bottom etc

Thanks.I’ll see if I can record what I’m seeing.

I’m fairly sure it was happening to me on 22H4. I only updated to 23h2 a week or two back and I can’t install 24H2 because it will brick my HP G2 VR headset (thanks Microsoft! Why couldn’t you just let support for it die off naturally rather than totally pulling the plug!?!)

Agreed on the WMR support, just open source it right!

I've also tried myself to reproduce, but on pancake only haha, let me see if QA can repro with VR active also

So the problem seems to manifest itself if I choose a window size smaller than the native screen resolution. I've been using 1280x768 on a 1920x1080 monitor as (historically) I have used the VR mirror option and wanted to minimise any extra GPU load from the mirror. If I set the LMU windowed resolution to native, I can right click on the LMU icon on the taskbar and Restore/Minimise as required and as expected.

Is it something weird due to the way the LMU window insists on capturing the focus of the mouse?

The other thing I've noticed is that if I do have a sub-native resolution set for the window, I can regain *some* control (make it visible if it has slid off the normal screen area - I used triple monitors but do *not* use spanning by the way) by toggling the 'hide taskbar' option. The LMU window will magically spring back into view if I toggle the option (it doesn't matter which state it was in - it's the toggling action that releases the LMU window).

None of the usual windows move/snap/whatever actions work.

So anyway, at worst I have a workaround of setting the resolution natively and turning off VR mirroring to save GPU.

Video shows how clicking the title bar causes the window to slide off the screen - I'm not dragging it, just left-clicking and off it goes!

Good evening @Mr Fox 🖐️ ,

I posted exactly the same error >>> here <<< in the forum a little over a month ago & have since used LMU
in full screen (1920x1080) instead of in a window (1280x720) when I play LMU in VR.
Ah I don't mirror the gameplay on the monitor !

Since I've now discovered your post, I wanted to see if the problem persists, so I switched back to
window mode (1280x720) & the problem was solved !!!

I can move the window, click on it, hide & show it again, everything works exactly as it should (y),
but I'm sticking with FULLSCREEN mode because I've put all the other apps on the left on the
extended 2nd monitor. I use the window mode beforehand to have some space on the monitor
for the "Oculus Debug Tool", but with an extended desktop on the 2nd monitor it is much better.

By the way, I'm using Windows 10 22H2 (19045.5487)
as you can see by pressing the keys : WINDOWS + Break

Thanks - maybe this thread can be merged with yours then.

It’s interesting that you’re running 22H2 too.

I’ll try 1280x720 and see if that is a workaround for me.

When I launch the game in VR mode where I'm using the windowed mode at a lower than my desktop resolution and try to move the window any place, it automatically moves to the bottom of and off the screen, I try to move it back up but as you can see in the video it keeps being dragged down. I need to then reset the position of the taskbar to have windows force the LMU window back in desktop boundaries.

Wow..I also use VR and have this issue. I have to restart the game in regular flat mode...
I can't believe it's been nearly a year since the first post, devs please fix.

Can confirm this is still happening. Windows 11 23H2, WMR VR headset (HP Reverb G2). I can reproduce it by opening the game, letting mirror window spawn centre screen, then if I alt-tab to another window (to get cursor control back that's not constrained to the game window area) and then hold the cursor over the top title bar of LMU, the in-game cursor sprite appears. If I then try to click and drag the LMU window around, it instantly drops to the very bottom edge of the monitor, and no amount of dragging will bring it up - like the cursor is subject to a gravity well. I also cannot use the Alt+Spacebar-arrowkey method to manually move the window around, it remains firmly stuck to the very bottom edge of the screen.
