What do we expect in June?

That Monza SRO GT race looked like it was an online event. What a mess at T1.
I always find the in-game chat amusing. Stuff like "Learn to drive" or "Play Wreckfest, you'll never be able to drive these cars properly" and I giggle to myself, thinking "Bro, have you even seen real racing drivers sometimes?" :sneaky:

Also, people forget that 99.999% of the players don't get paid to race. It's understandable that people will make mistakes since it's a hobby. It's fine to get angry, but people don't seem to have the EQ to move on - when taken out deliberately, yes, that can make one fume a bit longer and is a different discussion altogether, but at the end of the day, expecting literal amateurs to be great - or even good - racers is quite the stretch.

LMU's numbers have started to fall, slightly, but they have started. If they don't bring any new content now, the trend is for it to fall much more in the next 3 months.

Has a day been announced for this update?
Just because that's how it was before doesn't guarantee it'll be the same this time, but the June updates in '24 and '25 were both on the 10th.

Player numbers will likely see a slight increase with this update, and the announcements at the 24 Hours of Le Mans will determine the future potential player base. The new season pass content mentioned in these announcements will probably be released in Q3 (September).

On X, MSG has teased the new Goodyear Bridge for Le Mans and the updated Toyota Hyper. I don't know if Le Mans will be entirely redone or just the graphics on the adverts.
Correction: The Toyota teased was their Hydrogen powered demonstration project based on the newest Toyota Chassis.

I watched a video and all the curbs were painted different and were themselves a different size and there were other parts of the surface that were painted different for the update.
This link might be the video I had seen, curbs look to be the same size.

Looks good. I do wish they’d rework that Toyota sound. Most car sounds are either really good or just about there, the Toyota though is so far off.

I think it adds a lot to the immersion that the Le Mans track will visually reflect the different years and I really hope that they will make it right this time and only have the Goodyear bridge appearing when driving the 2026 season. That has not been the case in the past unfortunately as the devs replaced some of the 2023 advertising so that you now get the same banners for 2023-2025 even though for example the "BMW is back at Le Mans" ads weren't there in 2023 (nor were their hypercars . . .). It would have been so easy for the devs to just call the differing textures/objects to be loaded depending on season choosen.

It probably was that difficult. The current isiMotor engine has clear limitations. Because of these constraints, they can't even properly implement some dashboard displays.

They should have properly improved the engine that would serve as the game's foundation before making LMU, but the situation at Motorsport Games and S397 at the time was so precarious that they could have gone under at any moment. Rebuilding it from scratch was likely never an option.

While improvements are making their way over to PC alongside console development, they would probably need to rewrite the engine from the ground up to solve the fundamental issues. And it is quite obvious that this is out of the question given the current size of the team.

at one time, either with rF1 or GTR2, I think we could access at least two dash/wheel displays. But it has been a long time since. One of the big improvements graphically with rF2 was when high quality shaders began being used for the interiors. Then the displays became much sharper and contained more information. I don't know if the PBR shaders hinder multiple displays. A car moddder might know.

"Traction"has never really been a problem with the LMP3 cars, it's more that they sound like electric razors. Honestly, if they sounded more grunty or whizzy I am absolutely sure they would be more appealing.

I don't do the bronze races but making an LMP3 available and holding P3 races in bronze might draw a few more people in to racing these great little cars!

Basically every LMP3 race you had up till now was just one split, and that was top split. You are pretty much guaranteed that the slowest LMP3 is going to be slower than the alien GT3's chasing. I have a tough time myself at the start with those GT3's, but with some barging I can normally get going, but lapping GT3 in a LMP3 after a T1 incident is a different level of pain :D

The intro of a free car and bringing to bronze will fix that issue.

No, not always. I did 10-11 races last week and about 5 of those had the P3's split into two splits. Unfortunately that left small grids in each split. You are right though, passing GT3s in an LMP3 is something that has to be done carefully as the GT3s give absolutely no quarter. I was nerfed off at the second chicane at Monza in one of the races and got going after 2/3rds of the GT3 field had gone through. Passing 'gaggles' of battling GT3s was a real challenge and I was leaving my passes until the superior acceleration/speed counted. The big mistake people make is trying to pass them into braking zones as the GT3s ABS means that they will always be able to outbrake you and they will try to repass you. I have to say that I've not driven anything else, online or offline for 2 weeks and I've been loving it. I've also had a hatful of decent results including two wins (which is a rare thing for me.... ;)). I'd race a P3 instead of a Hypercar any day.....

I hope the LMP3 lobbies are flooded tonite!

Edit: The bronze one is. Over 240 registrations with 5 min to go. Will miss this one, but will be on the next :D

That partly is due to the change in powerplants. The current 'new' engine is a 3.5L V6 twin turbo Toyota. The previous engine was a 5 Litre V8 Nissan. Turbo engines, especially ones with multiple spinners, usually sound muffled compared to larger V8s like the Nissan powerplant.
I feel the same way about the Ferrari 488 & 296 models. Compared to the raucous 458, they just sound tame.(even though, overall, the newer cars are faster)
