V 1.4 speculation

Gotta say a bit disapointed too, was hoping for imsa cars/liveries with tracks, or even a historic American LMS.
Laguna does not excite me, neither do street circuits. The others will be good though, and as many others have said Road America would have been a nice addition.
Guess it boils down to the season pass price before I make up my mind if its worthwhile.

Not to disagree with you, the trailer was a little bit under whelming, however I have high hopes and belief that they liveries for the cars could come during the first pack release, if not then yeah very disappointing.
 
If users here were to create the 2026 IMSA liveries for the existing cars in WEC, they would only be available to those who have subscriptions, is that correct?

As far as I know, you can only use them on the car you’re driving. You have no control over AI car liveries. So unless they change that (or they do indeed get the IMSA licence eventually), yes, you can use an IMSA livery on your car online and offline, but all AI opponents offline will still be WEC/ELMS and based on whichever year you’ve selected.

And with that, there’ll also be the issue of not having the correct car roster too, as you still can’t create custom grids in this sim… 🤦🏼‍♂️

And on that, it is hugely frustrating to race against the same opponents. In my 24 hour race (which I abandoned 3 hours from the end) it was frustrating to be racing against the same driver from each team the whole way through. That is something which really does need to be addressed but then there are so many issues that need to be sorted in the offline experience now.
 
It is probably easier and cheaper to get the tracks licenced and not have to pay IMSA for the rights.

Please remember who you are dealing with here, this is a company that has every intention of maximising every available profit centre at minimum cost to themselves to maximise every penny.

There is nothing intrinsically wrong with that, but I think as fans we want IMSA proper, liveries, teams etc, anything else would be cheap

Agreed. I think all of us single player enjoyers are praying that they’re working on all of this for the career mode. I think the most worrying thing is that nobody has even mentioned anything remotely AI related for as long as I can remember. Would be nice after delaying the career mode for pretty much a year to just say “don’t worry, we’re working on the AI/other single player stuff for the career mode”. Nothing. So after all this time, I’m more inclined to think it’ll be a career mode slapped onto what we currently have. I hope I’m wrong.

I fear you're right..... I've been doing a lot of offline running over the last month and generally really enjoying it, despite the obvious limitations and more and more I want to run long endurance races but the enjoyment has to be maintained throughout the race and not ruined towards the end. I don't give two hoots for a career mode personally, but would love to have a proper offline championship.

Because complaining loudly is how you get heard. Because pricing is determined by what people are willing to actually pay for a product and expressing dissatisfaction with a price can actually result in lowering prices.

Traxxion is a journalism website. They don't have hard data. Those figures aren't facts.

Why are you on the side of the corporation? Why do you side with Stephen Hood, who has openly said he intends to drip content to the players for maximum ROI? Why be suck a cuck? You don't have any better idea than I do how much these assets costs, how many were already in existence, or how much 397 spent on production.

It's unrealistic to drive the whole 24 hours yourself. Until the game hopefully have AI driver swaps, I do my third of the driving which means 8 hours and time acceleration set to x3.

I wanted to to drive the whole thing. Having considerable experience of the whole thing in real life. Accelerating time by x3 is even more unrealistic in my view, it just gives you an 8 hour race. Driving for 6-7 hours through the night in particular was huge fun.

It gives me the 8 hours that I would have been behind the wheel in the real 24 hours race. If you want the full 24h experience, you could always go away from the computer while your two team mates do their imagined stints and then come back after a few hours for your next stint in the car.
 
I wonder what is taught in schools anymore. Selling a product is NOT a gift to the consumer. That we derive some entertainment from any product is secondary to the evil ROI. Without ROI there is no investment, and that means there is no game or movie or album or dang near anything.
Boo Hoo they want to earn a living....and in many cases a very COMFORTABLE living.
That is all I have to say 'bout that.

Is can Confirm that this stuff was not taught to me during my final 2 school years.


But also, with the us pack being added presumably this july. Would you guys have preferred if the studio 397 did an Asia pack with the 3 tracks and the liveries maybe, and if they could get a hold of it, get the imsa license?


And if lmu were to obtain an imsa license, would it outshine iracing or not? Not trying to make fun of iracing or anyone who races on it just curious.
