Toyota TR 010 Technical Car Data

Maybe i'm too stupid to understand it.....

E.g. the Toyota TR010.
When i search the Internet, it has a Fuel Tank Capacity of 90 Liters (https://toyota-racing.com/toyota-racing-wec/) .

In the Game, with the virtual Energie Slider at 100%, the Amount of Fuel differs, depending on the loaded Track.

E.g. if Circuit de la Sarthe is loaded, is shows 93 Liters (3 more than the Capacity?) and when Silverstone International is loaded, it shows 87 L.

At 100 % Slider Setting, shouldn't it always be the max Capacity of 90 L?

What do i miss?

Probably BoP adjustments.

That could be a possible Reason yes, but it also would mean a bigger or an additional Fuel Tank for the Circuit de la Sarthe.

Is that happening?
From what i have found in the Internet, no.

Maybe it's simply a wrong Calculation in the Games Code?
At least from my Understanding, at 100 %, the Fuel Amount should always be the max. Fuel Tank Capacity.

That might be an average value, on the Toyota page.
There's no prescribed limit to the fuel tank capacity in the regs AFAIKT.
It's not a direct BoP item either in FIAWEC. But capacity could be track dependant.

I don't think that there exists more than 1 Fuel Tank Size for that Car.

And as said, when the virtual Energie Slider shows 100 % in the Setup Menu, i would expect a full Tank.
But not an almost full Tank and especially not an overfilled Tank.

I miss the Logic behind of it and i fear only a Game-Dev can shed some Light on it.

Capacity in VE is surely depending on Track
but not the actual fuel cell which is probably fixed for obvious reasons.

All cars can use 100% VE but the fuel actually filled is measured and controlled by the regulators/stewards.

There is probably also some sections of fuel cell filled with foam or other "blank" things to limit capacity and also ensure weight distribution properly.

Even with max/min ratio, the fuel cell is designed to never be full over its max capacity for all tracks and BOPs.

I just checked the WEC 2026 technical regulations and they mention a 75 Liters max capacity. But it's for LMP2s only (No VE).

Yes, it's one or the other, Fuel or VE, so where VE is used there's no fuel limit.
After all if you've got an inefficient drive train you're penalizing yourself by having to carry more fuel for the same VE.

And by the way they can't change the fuel cell as needed without registering a new car. Fuel cell is fixed for the car at first car registering i think.

They probably optimize the actual size of the fuel cell for Le Mans race or the track where the more fuel can be used.

Sorry, but the Replies doesn't explain what is shown in Game.
At least for me :)

As said, i guess only a Dev can shed some Light here.

I am not sure how it correlates, but the Maximum Stint Energy is one of the BOP calculations. That value varies at almost every track by a few points. averaging around 904 to 912 for the Toyota.(except COTA where that number is over 100pts less.)?????

So if there are unique values of Energy at every track, we might assume this has a bearing on the differences noted in the first post.
