Tired of bad drivers ruining your SR

Good afternoon... when will there be a system so that the one who hits is the one penalized and not both as it happens until now?? honestly this is a great game, but they have messed up people who race like kamikazes, it makes me angry to race and see that in the first corner everyone is going like headless chickens destroying everything in front of them, first corner 6 or 7 cars hit bouncing all over the place and if you're lucky you dodge 1 in 10, the rest you eat. Then there's the one who is always in a hurry and overtakes you by hitting from behind... and without moderators... don't tell me to file an official complaint, since I have made many and I never receive an email answering me how you say you are going to do... and yes, I am PRO AT RACECONTROL, but I don't care, you don't answer a single complaint message.

Please... find a system to make the Penalty system fairer, I understand that there are people who fail and make a mistake and hit someone... but I don't understand when in the replay video you see that the person hasn't been careful at all, has done everything except try to avoid contact... and you, who are not guilty of absolutely anything, get the same penalty as the one who ignores everything and hits you, it's not fair, and I'm tired of continuously lowering SR because people don't know how to compete... and honestly I have paid for the RACECONTROL PRO, but logically I don't know if it's worth it for me to pay for something that sometimes I can't even race because my SR drops to B01 because of the madness of others... they hit you, you crash into a wall, and when you go out onto the track battered, it hits you again and crashes you again, this can't be... it's not fair... a system in which, the one who hits from behind is to blame but not the one in front... something like that.... the rest seems totally wrong to me Unfair...Signature: A Driver who's pretty fed up and angry with what happens here every day. Conclusion: LMU is a great game where people aren't fair and play like crazy. A great game that's ruined by people because the company doesn't have more thorough oversight of what's going on. A game where people who want to race well and seriously will end up going to another Simulator where people are less dirty when it comes to racing (and there are... there are dirty people everywhere, but the number of them in this game is exaggerated, it's not normal). You only have to look at the number of DNFs in each race, always more than half of the racers. Something's going on here, this isn't normal.

As a beginner, please make it easier for us to rank up in safety rating PLEASE.
I just did 20 races. 10 DNF’s because people keep NUKING ME and sticking their wheels on my inside, or whatever, I can’t even get back to the pits. 50% rating gone… or I wait for another race to completely fail again.

They should penalize people for doing that shit. Make it possible for people to gain SR OFFLINE, so I don’t have to get stuck in this infinite loop of shitty people in my lobby who keep limiting me from ranking up.

Good afternoon... when will there be a system ..................
As in real life, there should be a rule for the beginning:
If you hit the back of the car in front of you, it's your fault. This would avoid many of these problems.
If 2 cars hits at the side both gained some Points.
This is not the solution for all cases but many of them i think.
That should be no big thing for the programers to integrate it to the system.....

I can relate to both of you. I'm Platinum 3 for SR and B3 for DR, but getting to Platinum 3 was a huge mission. I like the idea of being able to increase SR offline, like in ACC.

I can't change the game but can tell you what helped me. After being intentionally wrecked by other racers and having my SR demolished, I decided to get out of bronze races asap and to only race in races requiring silver and gold SR. My technique was to practice a track offline and then to race against the AI. Once I was confident enough I would race online, but would start from the pits or qualify with a very slow time so that I could start from the back. That allowed me to miss the turn 1 carnage and survive the race start. This drastically lessened the chances of someone targeting me. My pace was good enough so that I wasn't being lapped, and almost everyone that remained was ahead of me. I wasn't a target anymore because there was no traffic near me. My SR climbed to the point that I got out of bronze SR and I could avoid the bronze races completely.

Even in silver and gold races there are still people who wreck and drive like idiots. My DR is still on B3, but I can improve that with time. I find that higher splits have cleaner races. There's always someone who will wreck on purpose, but it's uncommon.

And then you need to determine if it was a break check/lift. And then you need to check if it was a reasonable lift because the driver in front is fuel saving whilst the guy behind is not. And and and.

It's an impossible equation to solve efficiently.

I was out of Beginners in 11 races. Now I have max P3 and nowhere to grow. I did nothing special. Just drive as fast as I can to make finish in upper half of field. And I see no problem having just 1 podium in 130 races.

In iRacing I use iOverlay to see other people fastest laps (in LMU it's impossible and I can only see a gap between relative drivers) and when I see somebody approaching from behind, I keep an eye on him for a lap, and if I gap is narrowing I let him go when it's comfortable to me, losing minimum time and avoiding danger. 1st lap (especially on wet conditions) must be very careful, no problem to be last in 1st corner if 5 drivers collide and go to pits after it. And 1st lap can have multiple 1st corners, if you can understand what I mean.

having this idea you completely misunderstand SR idea. it is related to your behavior among other humans, same as in ACC. in ACC it will not grow if you drive alone in online session, it works only when you are close to others.
how can you improve SR driving without other humans ? using computer opponents ? ha. what for you are driving online then ?

Your experience is clearly different to mine and others on this post. We get rammed into virtually ever race. You ask how I can improve SR without driving against other humans? I've stated I'm P3 for SR and I explained above how I reached it. You probably haven't been the victim of deliberate ramming. Your experience is CLEARLY not the same as ours.

I understand perfectly how the SR works, the problem is others don't. If someone deliberately rams me, it's not my fault. I end up getting penalised as the SR system in LMU is a no fault system. Problem is when I'm pit manouevred I'm the one who crashes out while the perpertrator gets to drive on with a scratch on his paintwork.

To answer your final question - I drive online to race other opponents, not to be rammed by them. Which is exactly what happens in most race nowadays. If you don't experience that good for you. But for a lot of us that's a standard experience, and especially in the beginner lobbies.

you have to learn, how to see it coming and what you can do. it's part of racing and all our life.
you can get satisfied when you let such guy go and see him out in next corner.
also you can see on youtube Max Verstappen's defense in Daytona-24 this year in iRacing. It was wet at night, and he had slower car, but he took inside of every corner and opponent couldn't overtake for a lot of laps. you can do same - take inside. and it you cannot go faster, just let them go in comfortable place and time.

when we cross finish line, we can see our last lap time in Standings screen (upper left), so when we have somebody coming from behind, we can see his last lap time too. it is showing for couple seconds, so crossing line you can take a look and see your lap time and guy's behind lap time.
if you both are going close for a several laps, you can see it every lap and then decide what to do.
it's safe to go and think of nothing just in one case - if you are leader and have fastest time. in any other case you have to see what is going around.
I did a lot of endurance races in iRacing (120-180 minutes, with 2-3 pitstops) in any weather and day/night time. and for me it's easy to see what is going ahead of me and behind me. so after surviving 1st lap I drive relaxed, seeing my fuel level and gaps ahead and behind. if somebody is coming fast, I see gap and lap times and I make no problems for myself.

Give TinyPedal a try:

Easiest way I found to gain SR online was to qualify as best you could but then basically drop back at the race start, pull over and slow down.
Let the kamikaze 'I must win the race in T1' lot past, watch the carnage upfront then drive your race, picking off the damaged cars one by one.

Yes your DR will only advance slowly, but you will gain SR thus opening up higher splits and the intermediate races.

Good luck

To get into higher splits you must gain DR, not SR.
SR gives access to higher-class races (Silver and Gold), it's like license to drive in series. If you lose G class you will be unable to participate in Gold races.
Splits making depends only on DR. You can drive any series (having corresponding license) with any DR. Low DR will put you in bottom split and high DR will put you in higher split.
