Simulator Controller - an AI-based suite of professional racing tools

Release 6.9.6

This release contains a very useful improvement for the "Setup Workbench" which now can analyze telemetry data for handling problems and recommend setup changes even after the end of a session. See the short video for a demonstration:

Release 6.9.9

After two technical releases with extensions to the rule engine, we finally introduce some new exciting stuff for the driver. The Engineer now will prevent tyre wear imbalance when it comes to a pitstop. For example, if one tyre on an axle needs to be changed due to excessive wear, the Engineer may decide to swap the second tyre as well to make sure the car shows balanced handling.

Release 7.0.0

Release 7.0 is here and it is huge:

First and foremost for you as a driver, this Release introduces the second part of the new tyre management. The Engineer can now handle multiple different tyre compound mixtures when it comes to pitstop planning. Depending on tyre wear rate, usable tyre life and the remaining number of laps in the next stint, he will pick the best of the available tyre compound mixtures for each wheel. Tyre wear data from the community, if available, may be used here as well (see below).

But that is not all, there are more important changes and additions:

- The community database comes with an all new storage format
- Tyre wear data can now be shared in the community
- Support for a new cloud service for speech synthesis and recognition
- Also support for a new GPT LLM service provider

Be sure to read the Release Notes and the Update Notes, because this Release includes a breaking change, for which you have to update some of your settings in the "Session Database".

Release 7.0.1

The Release of this week is focused on the Driving Coach:

- Several bugs has been fixed.
- Available reference laps from the community can now be loaded automatically and must not be assigned manually by name.
- A lot of new analytical data for the corner performance if provided to the LLM, thereby enabling high end models like GPT 5.5 to come up with even more useful instructions.

Here is a short example with a coaching session using GPT 5.5 (coaching starts around minute 4:00):

Hello,

I have added support for LMU in my suite of AI-based tools for Sim Racing. This collection of tools support you in the setup development, can simulate strategies and support you during team races with remote car control, strategy adjustment and full telemetry access. In solo races you get support from a virtual AI-based crew, an Engineer, a Strategist a Spotter and a Coach, which has full access to your performance data and setup related handling issues.

A beta version for LMU is already available, the final version will be released Friday.

But: The data integration for LMU still lacks a lot of the possible functionality due to the fact, that the data support of LMU is still a bit restricted, compared to rFactor 2. You can take a look at the release notes for the details.

Below you can find a link to the release download section for the suite.

If you want to play with the beta version and can't wait for Friday, use this link:

One last word: This suite is extremely capable, but also quite complex. It will take some time to install, configure and master...

Yes, you are right, the first days can be very challenging. This is not a simple app, more like a development environment for your personal pit crew.

Release 7.1.2

This one is all about running large language models locally on your machine. The local LLM Runtime, which can be installed from a DLC, has been rewritten and now supports tool/function calling, which is required to run custom actions by the Assistants. Performance has been improved as well.

Beside that a new function allows you to modify the text returned by an LLM, for example, to remove unwanted test decorations generated by smaller LLMs, which will increase immersion.
