Ranking-System

I do find this utterly ridiculous.

You have paid for the game, you should be allowed to play in hosted or something this is borderline in my eyes.

It’s such a relief to realise that, instead of improving the system and making changes, they’ve started banning players when they get rammed in the first corner :). Well, I suppose I don’t understand a thing, and I’ll have to play LMU 2 again so they’ll finally fix the system :)

Same for every single player you see online (tens of thousands), nearly all of whom aren’t getting bans.

@robevery1971 you can’t play online without agreeing to the terms. So if you don’t agree you can’t get banned, because you’re never online.

Fairness of the rating – if you drove a clean race, your rating went up by 30%. If you drove a race where others crashed into you, your rating dropped to 0 (I reckon if it had been worse, it would have dropped even further).

So, I’ve had five races since my ban was lifted due to the ranking system, and today was the third race – here’s how it turned out:Screenshot 2026-07-10 205421.png

That rubbish player hit me and dragged me right across the net without letting up. Then the next player shoved me into the wall. The ranking system said it was my fault. Okay.

Screenshot 2026-07-10 205301.pngScreenshot 2026-07-10 205329.png

Minus a clean lap, as I had to swerve round an accident and the player wasn’t standing still but was moving. The ranking system said I was at fault. OKAY.
Screenshot 2026-07-10 205755.png
Plus there were minor accidents where they didn’t get in the way of my driving and deliberately braked to crash into the back of my car so I’d have to turn round. The system said I was to blame. Okay.

There are two races left and I’m getting close to my next ban. Oh, this entertaining ranking system :)

Race 4 out of 5 – something happened and people started getting kicked off the server, including me; the game lowered my rating because of the DNF.
So, one more race to go, and the game’s going to ban me again because of the system – oh, what a joy to play; the most brilliant rating system ever XD|

Бан происходит из-за значков, а не из-за SR.
The SR rating awards badges. In-game incidents beyond the player’s control lower the rating. The result is bans of 3 days, 7 days and so on; I don’t know who came up with the idea of handing out bans for 5 races :|

Buy a game, only to get banned later for not starting from the pit lane XD

As Goanna just linked to, your badge (and an automatic badge ban) is contacts only.

Your SR is influenced by contacts, but also DNFs, penalties etc (bad side) and clean laps (good side).

So they're different things.

And, similarly to your SR where you've been complaining in this thread for the last 6 months that it's an impossible system and there's no way to avoid bad players yet others keep telling you that they've been in the same situation and are now out of it, every other person playing this game is in the same badge system and many (nay, nearly all) of them learn to avoid excessive incidents and get out of danger/warning badges. Literally 30,000+ players every day doing race after race and not getting bans.

You can be unlucky, but you almost certainly at this point need to look at how you're approaching things because there's no way you should still be bouncing around B0 after all this time.

It’s my fault again, and once more I’ve got a huge number of negative SRs. Thanks :)

That’s just brilliant – one car has stopped ‘up ahead’, whilst the other is racing back onto the track at full throttle

Again -SR and DR
Blimey, when will I ever learn to drive without losing my SR)))
The car has frozen in the game; that is, the game is still running, time is passing, everything is moving, but the car has frozen

Is this picture where it "touches you"? While the car is still 3/4 off the track? Did you leave room? Doesn't look like it...

Don't expect everyone to stay out of your way or avoid you, and you'll probably eliminate half your contacts. Looks to me here like you decided your lap shouldn't be compromised by others' issues, and you tried to just pin it and go for the gap. You can argue all you want whether the car on the left should have waited for you to go past, or whether the car in front should stay further right, but it doesn't take away your wall contact. You have to look after yourself, not rely on others.

Right, so I’ll note that if a car flies off the track due to handling instability (pics1) and ends up with its whole body (4x4) on the gravel, it’s still considered to be on the track and you need to return to the position in that case :)

I don’t expect it, as this is a virtual racing game, but it would be nice if, by the third year, the developers had come up with a more reasonable ranking system – rather than one where you can spend three days earning SR, only to be dropped to level SR0 after a one dailyrace, and then, after another four races, be banned from the environment.

My first advice to you would be to turn off the racing line. You're fixating on it.
Having that out of the way, let's analyse a bit the initial situation:

There 's a car out wide on the left of the track, which will be rejoining on the left side of the track. There's another slow or stopped car pointing to the left side of the track too. That left side will become quite crowded in a moment.
Then there's you having two options: left side or right side. What made you choose the left side too? (Other than that's where the racing line normally goes).
You have ample time to lift (if not already lifted due to yellow flags) and go to the right to clear the obvious developing trouble.
That's situational awareness and quick decision making and it is part and parcel of racing.
Lacking them you will get involved in otherwise avoidable incidents.

There’s no need to analyse this, as this isn’t the right forum thread to ask for driving advice :)

This is about a very fair rating system which, when you buy a game, can even get you banned, and which even blocks other parts of the product that have absolutely nothing to do with the rating system

Ok then, you do you.
In the meantime there's the vast majority who have no issue maintaining Platinum SR and Good or Trusted badges, while dealing with the same system.

Yes, yes, you’re right – there are loads of people in the game with Platinum and Gold ranks, as many as three splits out of 24; everyone else is Bronze with badges saying they’ll be banned soon. Even if you just look at the basic statistics from ‘LMU Achievements’, only 19% of all players have managed to complete the game within 24 hours (overall), whilst 16% have only managed to complete 50 races… and 7.5% have only managed to complete 100 races since launch. Yes, you’re right, the in-game ranking system is fine; it’s just that I somehow see a malicious SR system that prevents players from playing :)
