Problems with setup in Aston Martin HY at Paul Ricard 1a

I apologise if this isn’t the right section, but I’ve noticed that with the AM on this circuit and with this layout, I’m finding it much more difficult than with the Cadillac; for example, I can’t take the first corner in seventh gear as I can with the Cadillac, and even if I try in sixth, the rear end often breaks away. I’m using a ‘safe’ setup by Coad Dave, just as I did on the Cadillac. I’ve noticed that on the Cadillac it sets the rear wing to P12, but here it says ‘standard’ and won’t let me change it – why is that? Also, I’m finding it hard to take the fast corner immediately after the long straight, unlike with the Cadillac and Ferrari. Is there something wrong with the setup on the AM that you’re aware of?

Thanks

Hypercar are allowed only one adjustable Aero element. Some adjust the rear wing, some like the Cadillac actualy (IIRC) adjust the front fender gurneys. The AM adjustable Aero is the front diffuser.

The problem was actually the setup suggested by Coach Dave’s app, even though it was safe. I tweaked the default settings to suit my needs and finally started clocking consistent laps on the AM.

I think I’ll cancel my subscription after a year because I haven’t seen much benefit from using the set-ups suggested by the app – we’re talking 0.3 at most on my personal best – and, honestly, they’re not worth the €12.49 a month they’re asking for. On that note, I know of a hub for set-ups (ultimatesetuphub.com) but there aren’t set-ups for all cars and tracks. Is there anything free out there just to give me a starting point? Thanks
