PLZ do better Schedule in dailys

It's not complicated...please stop forcing people to race with other vehicle types in the intermediate and advanced categories...not everyone wants to race other classes as these mixed events are often (more so than not), disruptive, and people don't know how to conduct themselves with proper multi-class etiquette.
It's an interesting thought and I agree with it, to a certain extent, until I remember that WEC racing is multi-class racing.....

Hello everyone!
On the topic of age — I'm 45, and currently running LMP2 and GT3/GTE classes.

New week, and plenty to discuss! 😁

Looking at the next week's schedule, here’s what I see:

Beginners:
If the practice sessions are 2–3 minutes and qualifying is 5–6 minutes, you should be able to run both races every hour.
It’s tight but doable — especially if you’re a subscriber.
I understand that if you’re not into prototypes, you’ll need to wait around 30 minutes between races.

Intermediate:
Similar to last week — between WEC-Xperience Fixed and the Prototype Trophy with LMHs, I believe we’ll rotate between the three races (to be confirmed in-game).

Advanced:
No major changes.

Regarding the LMH single race:
I think they’re trying to offer players a way to learn how to drive the car properly.
I’ve never driven the LMH myself, so with this format, I’ll probably give it a try!
Sure, it might be messy at first, but at least they’re reading the forums and trying to find solutions to improve gameplay.
You could argue it should be moved to Advanced, but then they wouldn’t have room for WEC-Xperience Fixed in Intermediate.
You might also suggest doing a Fixed stint in Advanced — and honestly, that could work too.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts too! 🏁 Let's keep improving the game together. 🚀

Yup agree - but despite it being that, this is a game and they can certainly give people options…racing a specific class alone or with others.
I bet you dollars to donuts that most people (90% +), would elect to race ‘like vehicles’, instead of being interfered with by other classes.
It’s not my imagination that every race I do, ends up with issues due to the mix of cars.
No, it’s not a ‘me’ thing, I speak for watching the conduct of others and the chaos it creates.
Real life and video games create two very distinct outcomes when it comes to machines moving at 250kmph +(+).

Personally I like a mix of both. As I do a lot of coop racing, I’m used to multi class but I also race single class offline sometimes. Right now I’m running just GTEs in a 6 hour race at Monza and it’s certainly nice for a change not to have to watch in my mirrors for P2s or hypers.

I personally like Multiclass. But its just a good expirience if all guys got good racecraft.

I think Beginners series should be provide all classes just fixed and same class.
GT3 fixed, LMP2 fixed, Hypers fixed, GTE fixed, 20 Min races. And if the guys has shown enough and good effort, lets say
5-10 races each class with a good enough SR they should be able to run Multiclass.

Why?

Because you just can make good decisions if you know which line a class will take and what speed.

Of course some doesnt take it too serious so the Trainingtime could seperate the guys with enough effort from the "just fun guys" maybe

If theres interest......Im 50 years of age 😁

And I'm back! 😄

Just checked the live schedules for Beginner and Intermediate races — and honestly, I’m a bit disappointed with the Beginner setup.

Why not just go with 2 minutes of practice and 6 minutes of quali? That would give enough time to join the second race.
As it stands, we’re at risk of being stuck doing the same race over and over.

Both tracks have lap times close to or under 2 minutes, so 7 minutes of qualifying is too long — especially when it gets extended by players finishing their laps.
In reality, qualifying ends up lasting around 9 minutes, and subscribers who join the second race will enter mid-qualifying — not during practice, as previously mentioned by a moderator.
That kind of defeats the point of using the practice window to allow players to join smoothly.

As for Intermediate, it looks fine. We can rotate between the three races with around a 20-minute wait, if my math is correct.

Hope they consider a few small tweaks — could make a big difference.

With all this schedule experiment, I see one more issue which is related.
Practice sessions before races are now too small and every server holds only 20 participants. It should be changed.
Practice sessions should be available for all time between races (especially when same races are separated with long time) and every practice server should hold much more participants, like 60.

I think people should get into milti-class smoothly, starting with only separate GT3/GTE/LMP2 racing in Bronze SR, continue with GTx+LMP2 and separate HY in Silver SR, and only with Gold SR going to full Multi-class racing.
No reason to give Bronze people HY cars and let them race with half-GT3 field.

There's this post about the practice sessions if interested.

I agree completly with this.

Guys let make it happen 😁 💪

I would guess the full event is probably around 38 minutes with all the in between stuff, those that start their final qualy lap 2 seconds before 0:00 (I am one of those!), etc. So no real chance to be able to jump from one Portimao straight into Sebring Beginner races. For me that's not an issue as I only drive the GT cars, but I certainly get the point. It's impossible to please everyone all the time, and I recognise that the team are tring out different things to see what works best. But on this occasion I think there was an error of judgement.

The other thing that has been brought up a lot is the practice sessions. In my mind this should be simple: As soon as the second race is shown (i.e. wehre RC Pro subscribers are able to register for the 'next' race), the practice server should open, and should stay open until just before that race starts. So with the current setup, the Portimao race has just started as I am typing, the Sebring race is the next race, and RC Pro folk should be able to get into the next Portimao practice for 55 minutes without interruption. You pay your money, you should get your chance.

To be honest, after today’s racing session, it was really frustrating.

I started with the GT3 race at Portimão — when I finished, I had to wait at least 21 minutes.
So I decided to try the Intermediate race at Bahrain… only to be hit with another 20 to 30-minute wait.
I then did a solo LMH race, but by the end, the waiting times were getting too long, and I was starting to feel tired and demotivated to keep racing.

It breaks the momentum, especially when you’re in the mood to keep going.

This week schedule is really special. wait, wait, wait. 2 beginners races every 30 minutes - not good variant. every 20 minutes would be OK, 2 or 3 races in rotation.
new series in Intermediate - HY 20 minutes open - why once in 120 minutes ? It cannot be driven between 20-minutes beginners races, and has too big interval. As it is among Intermediate races, it should have length like them ~40 minutes, or having length 20 minutes it must fit into Beginners schedule.
I just hope current week will not be final in scheduling experiment.
I lost some DR in this and last weeks, waiting for wet Le Mans in Beginners to make it bounce back

The main improvement that needs to be made is the same as in iRacing: Time is up, it automatically switches sessions, regardless of whether you are on a valid lap or not. It works, it helps organize events and you have a guarantee of being able to finish the event in time for the next race. Since the registration UI menu and the game itself are the same executable, this needs to be adjusted. In iRacing, since they are separate things, you can alt+tab and register for another event while making a pit stop or something like that (It's not ideal, but it works).

In LMU, the session cuts after the 3-minute practice, but not during qualifying — and I believe that’s intentional, to reflect the realism of real-world WEC events.

In iRacing, qualifying laps are capped — you get 2 flying laps, and if you join late, you probably won’t finish your lap if it goes beyond the 8-minute window.
It also ends the qualifying early if all registered drivers have completed their laps or if there’s no activity — and yes, it works well there.
But I’m not sure this system would adapt well to LMU’s structure and design philosophy.

That said, I do see your point — and it’s totally valid, especially if LMU decides to adjust how qualifying functions.

Personally, I think one of the key improvements should be:
  • Reduce practice to 2 minutes — enough time for players to connect.
  • Grid formation should be limited to 45–60 seconds max.
  • Cut 1 minute from qualifying, except for Le Mans due to its length.
Also, implementing shorter race formats (like 15-minute sprints) — which have been done in the past — could help streamline the flow.

Open to hearing other views on this — we all want the best for the game.

Yes, without a doubt, I understood perfectly what I meant. And I agree too. Each place has its philosophy and this is valid.

As a simple player and also a streamer, I mainly feel that I waste a lot of time of my life in moments of waiting for race, than racing itself. A whole afternoon goes by and I did 3 or maybe 4 races. If I want to change from GT3 to LMP2 for example, since there are no schedules that fit at the end of the other, it drops to 2 or 3 races, so it ends up being boring for those who have little time available, mainly.

Been having a little play around this afternoon to see what my little brain can muster up. Here is what I have come up with using what little wisdom I have.

Benefits:
If you wanbt to stick to Beginners you can race alternate races and cover each class.
If you want to stick with Intermediate, again the schedule allows you to participate in all events
Same applies if you want to grind only the Advanced events
In each of the above scenarios there should be around 5-10 minutes between each event.
For fans of GTE you can switch between Beginner and Intermediate with between 5 and 15 minutes between events

Downsides:
In the below situation it is not quite as favourable for GT3 and LMP2 fans, but you can't win 'em all.
And increase from the current 11 up to 14 races in each 3-hour cycle. More servers = more cost I guess
(on the other hand, more peoiple racing means less people in practice servers, so maybe it evens out)

Obviously, I have set classes here which would change from week to week, but hopefully thiks illustrates that it is possible to provide variety and a consistent opportunity to race at pretty much any time without lengthy waiting time.

*NOTE
I have provided session times, but this doesn't allow for time between sessions. For example, when the clock hits zero in practice there follows 1 minute before the pitlane light turns green for qualy. I have allowed 2 minutes from the end of qualy for people to complete laps, then 1 minute to get on the grid, plus 1 minute before the green flag. Finally another 2 minutes at the end of the race for drivers to complete the lap. SO the full event times would be approximately as follows:
Beginner: 35 mins
Intermediate: 58 mins
Advanced: 80 mins
There will always be a bit of give and take, particularly with longer tracks. But by and large that shouldn't really impact much on the event-hopping detailed above.
