Penalty

No sir, i was clean in line, doing 57 at the moment of green. The only weird situation was that people in front of me did not show up during the race. LMU first directed me to stay at my spot, leaving the big gap to the car in front of me. But then LMU started to show that i had to close the gap so i did and probably i have gained illegal places with LMU telling me to close the gap. Happend before and i think this may be a "bug" thing. If there is a gap due to people not showing up, LMU should hold me in place. If i stay in place i will receive a penalty, if i follow LMU and close the gap, i receive a penalty...dont know what to do?🤔
"Speeding" can be triggered from the moment you start moving (40-50 seconds before the green flag) depending on situation. It'll only show when the race starts.

The corresponding trace file (in your UserData\Log folder) can be used to determine when the penalty was actually given, and sometimes also what it was actually for. It might be worth checking so you can avoid these in future.

Also since you mention you were doing 57 when the green dropped, you might want to strongly consider turning on the pit limiter once you're in position and doing 60 (before/when the 60 zone shows). That's what other people are doing. If you're controlling speed manually you're probably speeding slightly with normal fluctuations.

If that happens frequently (cars disappearing at the start sequence), you either have a network issue or your system can't handle the load when the cars are close to each other at the start.
Do note that the others would then see you rubberbanding about, which is at the very least annoying but sometimes can cause unnecessary incidents, as they try to avoid you (even if marked as uncollidable).
Download = 750 Mbps

Jitter = 0,70ms
Ping = 9ms

Did speedtests among various providers and i rounded downwards. Dont know if these figures are good enough?

they mean diddly squat in terms of your connection to the server, you may be going through several countries and isp’s to get to the server and if any one of them is “playing up” then you’ll see the sorts of behaviours described above. Bugger all you can do about it in reality, if you could identify which country/isp is the problem one/s, then you may be able to get your isp to change their routing tables to avoid said country/isp.

You might want to look at your ingame settings. Try reducing the connection speeds so the game doesn't have to force more mps than it needs to.

Previously i had put my ingame over (20mbps-10Mbps) snce i have a 500-500 co but it only made it worse.
So i guess stick to defaut on the network part to avoid any trouble

As Dave says, you might want to try adjusting these. There has long been a tendency for people to think they need to be as high as possible. I've never had any issues with 8.25Mbs down and 1.25 Mbs up.

In game Ping = 25ms. Apparently internet speed means nothing according to Goanna. Just did a online daily race and my ingame ping was 25ms. I guess that is too high? Next to that, i don't understand what my connection has to do with people not showing up during the race, leaving a gap on the grid. And what to do with that gap in front of me? LMU wants me to close it, which means i gain illigal places which results in a DT penalty. I guess,m people not showing up during the start of the race has nothing to do with my internet speed?

I think the theory is your bandwidth etc might be related to cars not appearing. I'm not sure on that, but I also don't know why multiple times people wouldn't be there, or why you'd get a penalty if you did what the game said. Could be a bug / poor handling by the game, or something else. Did you check the trace file? Searching for "penalty" should fairly quickly get you to the relevant part, it can take a little reading/digging though.

Hi all, just registered for a daily race. The race started a few places in front of me were not filled. So i just followed the starting green zone which putted me pretty close to the car in front of me, closing the gap there was. Directly after the start i got a penalty but there is no info why i got the penalty. I guess its because i started from the wrong position allthough LMU said it was allright. Anyways, i pressed the pit button, drove to the pit stand and parked my car and...nothing happenend. No timer no nothing. So i drove back out of the pits only to see the red marker i had to come in for a penalty. I quit the race and came to the forum writing this post.
Questions: what to do if places in front are not filled and LMU directs you to close the gap allthough that will result in a penalty?
And how to perform a penalty pitstop? In the pitstop screen there was no "serve penalty" option.
Just forget about this situation; the developers aren’t going to do anything about it, so you’ll just have to accept that you can get DT at the start for absolutely nothing

Read up; you can work out why the penalty was given, or put the trace here and ask for others’ assistance.

While your ping is really good, ping alone does not determine the quality of a connection. Your throughput and packet loss could also be hampering your online racing. I'm not even suggesting this is the exact cause of your problems, just one avenue to explore. Set the in game Net connection back to the default values (I am not even sure what the default is...anyone??) and test.
