Online & Offline SC, FCY, and Slow Zones (Both Officials and Hosted)

I believe it's time to introduce FCY and the Slow Zone.

These are two quite important factors in the world of endurance racing, as they also impact Virtual Energy.

In my opinion, they should be active in races longer than 40 minutes, or at least in all races where at least one pit stop is required.

I would add that if a car is damaged, the slow zone should "follow" the car around the track, just like yellow flags do.

I would love this for both officials racing, special events, and dedicated/hosted sessions and the option for server admins to manually deploy FCY when they choose so like how iRacing has the command to do this for hosted sessions. This is pretty necessary for online competitive endurance racing imo and I sorely miss this in iRacing endurance special events.

This would be so cool
If we have this Feature.
If you made a error and some Gravel Beds
Are so heavy thats not possible to get out like in real and we get safety car / fcy for 1 or 2 laps

I'm glad to see such positive reception from the community about this. Endurance road racing just doesn't feel complete to me without the added danger of FCY and needing to fend off the field again on a restart.

We also need a separate speed limiter for FCY! It's a pain having to adjust the speed manually in the middle of the FCY period, and it can cause confusion.
I would be content if they just used the pitlane limits, but can you imagine the confusion of just WHICH limiter you would have to activate? Some guys would be poking along at 60kph vs the 80kph (or there abouts) that the safety cars run at.
Online events, especially the longer ones, could just DECLARE a safety car VSC or FCY. Then after X amount of laps, go back to green. Offline would probably be much more chaotic.

That's a valid point. However, I think the pit limiter's 60kph is too slow compared to the FCY's 80kph, and since real cars have a separate FCY button, I think it's quite a reasonable suggestion.

Now that the Driver Swap will arrive on 10 June, Endurance races will increase a lot.
In terms of tyre saving and virtual energy saving, it is very important to introduce slow zones, FCY and SC.

They can determine the outcome of an endurance race!

Another important thing is to have the full formation lap!
And it is important to arrive at Turn 1 with the right tyres and brakes at the right temperature.

This function is already present offline, it needs to be implemented online as well!

without having a look at the server options, I would expect the full pace lap option is already present, they just do not USE it.
Also for multiplayer races, the slow zones etc could all be implemented just by Voice Command from the race admin.(Eduardo for example)

Currently server-side it is not possible to activate the full formation lap.
There is only the short one. And one option that is missing

Why, why, nobody from the team looks at this post.

I don't understand how the idea of entering the endurance world without having the Sefty-Car, Slow zone and FCY can be conceived.

Let's go. These things are fundamental.

Right now we find ourselves racing for 2 hours just full throttle waiting for race time to run out.

Now that they have announced the patch what will change?
That it will no longer be 2 hours but can be 6,9,12 or even 24 hours.

Where you always run full throttle without a bit of unpredictability.

I hope to be proven wrong when it's the 10th of June.
But not having these 3 elements in endurance racing is quite embarrassing.

I hope Team LMU remedies this as soon as possible.

There is only so much they can do at once. This is a big update coming up!

I hope so, but it is a fundamental thing.
It's time to put these things in, they are part of the endurance

I will tell you, the full course yellow and yellow flag situations PLAGUED rF2. They did solve some of the problems late in the S397 lifecycle, but I am assuming they do not want to open that pandora's box UNTIL just about everything else is settled. We routinely told new users to rF2 to just turn off all the flags due to the many many issues that arose.

What were the issues? The leagues I ran in rF2 all turned it off.

These mostly affected offline racers, but here are a couple of them. One flag would end up triggering more on the restart and you could run most of a race under yellow. The AI could not keep their places nor spaced correctly which would end up creating huge gaps between two or more groups of the cars. The safety car would sometimes just not be visible. Your league admins may have been able to keep you all together when online but it sounds like they just didn't want to deal with the flags either.
