Menu transition screen

Agree, just keep that "smooth" transition screen before and after a loading maybe, just for the "style", but not when navigating menus... The interface must be snappy, otherwise people will get annoyed by it in the long run.

When you select another item of the menu the LMU logo is building up on the sreen (with some animation) before jumping to the selected menu content. This takes time and has no extra value to users in my opinion. Especially if you need to move through several menu levels to e.g. watch a replay after online racing.

Please remove this animation.

Can You please add an option to disable red/blue diagonal animation when switching between menu items? That bright colors can really be blinding, especially when playing in the evening/night.

Ok, maybe I wrote it wrong… not other but practically all major games in recent decade don’t need this. It’s annoying and just tires eyes. So maybe all the energy put in such mocking answer should be assigned elsewhere, e.g. redesigning menu so it doesn’t make users to stare at black screen… just saying… it’s 2025 after all

Great for them, it's needed here or else you'd just stare at a black screen while it loaded.
Sometimes I get a bug browsing through the multiplayer menus and the transition animation doesn't play. There's a very slight flash of a few UI elements (probably takes less than 200ms to load) and it's much snappier to use than the usual waiting for the transition animation to play every single time so some improvements here would be welcome.

I don't want to sound unpleasant, but would it be possible in a future release to remove that annoying curtain animation that opens and closes every time we switch screens? It wastes a lot of time for no reason and doesn't add anything in terms of functionality... They are VERY annoying.

(love the game, will buy everything, cant play any other sim anymore, so yes, I am still a fanboy)

The animation is mainly there to cover a black screen you'd otherwise see as each screen loads up.

So removing it wouldn't massively speed up your navigation.

This is the kind of response that always baffles me a bit.
Are you saying it takes 2.6 seconds to go from the main menu to "online," "race weekend," or even "settings"?
And another 2.6 seconds to return from these screens to the main menu?
And then 2.6 seconds to go back to one of those previous screens?

Aside from the fact that they should be buffered, 2.6 seconds is enough to load much heavier things than a settings menu. This is the only game I’ve ever seen that takes 2.6 seconds to switch from one menu screen to another. I think it was an (understandable and even relatable the first time you see it) initial aesthetic choice that now makes you roll your eyes when you realize you have to exit the race weekend because you didn’t set a parameter correctly. Or when you exit races, where you have to endure the animation loading screen three times in a row to always load the same three pages you’ve been navigating for an hour.

Don’t get me wrong, there are surely more urgent and important things to do than this triviality, but no, I can’t believe that those 2.6 seconds are a “necessary technical time to move between menu options” in 2025, especially with such a marvelous game behind it.

Well the animation is not 2.6 seconds, but yeah, all this extremely inefficient web browser UI trend is not good IMO.

We are in a race between ever faster hardware and ever less performant code .

2.4/2.6 secs on my i7, 32gb ram, 4060TI, triple 24"... (working weel, no stutter, no fps drop blahblahblah) :-D
I used a chronometer LOL!

This LMU menu transition screen needs to go! It looks fantastic, but gets really old fast when you are trying to quickly bounce around the menus.
So it doesn't go to waste, Maybe just limit it to the 'home screen'?

OMG, yes!
The lore is that the transition time and screen is needed to hide graphics that are not ready, but I don't buy it.

Get rid of the annoying bugger - or at least give us an option in a config file.
I'd rather watch garbage graphics than wait for this thing!

I also wonder why nobody went into the html files and hacked them to disable this.
Shoudn't be that hard

A menu?
What spoiled simsters we have become. Gone are the days of inserting disk after disk to load a program.
Now we argue about turn signals and a menu wipe.

Offline racers compete against the same AI drivers for an entire event.
"But that wipe."
Online users can't stop committing virtual murder
"But his blinker wasn't on..."
"I bought an expensive powerful wheel, but when I flatspot a tire it is too powerful."

People get locked out of online events, Crashes to the Desktop still happen. Sometimes the program won't exit. No offline Championship yet. Stability issues during long online events. LMP2 Tires overheat in the pits. LMGT3 events become one make affairs after every new bop. Save Game issues can result in lost hours or reset damage. Co-driver online events scramble the pit actions. Engineers can't engineer.
But...that...wipe...

Settle down mate! You sound like you just came off a bad run of bronze GT3 open lobbies!!.

You do know more than 1 person works on the game right? They will have designers and programmers specifically tasked with UX, including optimisations to the UI and menus for a better QOL experience? and this one is low hanging fruit that someone could knock out to break up their week as they work on other harder things.

They will also have people looking at your list of issues, and if you go and up-vote those issues instead of harassing this thread, then they will prioritise it.
