LMU Results Companion

I'm tired of going back and forth between live race and garage to set fuel for the race. Yesterday I took screenshots of initial:
fuel ratio
VE
And yet again I forgot to take a post-race screenshot of the remaining fuel! I get that these pieces of information are somehow available in LMU-RC?

Yes Indeed...they are multiple ways to access this.

In the Sessions page, right click the header to display Fuel/Lap and VE/Lap (and Fuel Multiplier)

Session Fuel.png

The Fuel page shows the estimate fuel required

The right pane allows you to choose the Track/Car/session length. The left pane will default to the current session (if you are in one)

Also, if you didn't want to flick back and forth, you can use the Fuel Widget (see https://www.overtake.gg/threads/lmu-results-companion.278743/post-3811523) which gives you a little more info that the in game HUD

LMU Results Companion 1.8.1 Released (here)

• Fix LMP2 ELMS with custom livery
• Add lap delta to lap times widget
• Move to LMU Shared Memory (rather than rF2)
• Leauges page - remember last column sorting used
• (BETA) - Display setup values used for session

A lot of the fuel tab seems to be nonfunctional. E.g. fuel ratio doesn't accept anything other than 0 or 1. So far I was unable to use the tab to calculate race fuel. In case of auto it kind of is too short of a timeframe between session connect and actual race start. Maybe with training I could manage to do it in 40 seconds but right now I'd prefer to rely on the in-game stupid trick (start session, get back to garage to adjust).

That's the way the fuel tab is supposed to work - for a given track/car, it will tell you estimated fuel consumption based on your previous sessions - most fields will be read only. Press F1 to bring up the help for a detailed explanation of the fuel tab.

The fuel widget is supposed to given you that information in an overlay so you can plan your fuel in the garage at the start of the session without having to jump back and forth between screens

Position Delta and Class position Delta are just inverse (pos/neg). Is that normal?

@doug99 I had been away from LMU for a couple of weeks, and I installed the latest version of the companion yesterday. In the two races that I have done since, it looks like stuff like tire temps are not showing up. Tire pressure and brake temperatures aren't right. (pressure is way low, and brake temps are very cold). I messed around with bringing up an overlay or two, started a practice and after the session the results showed the brake temps accurately, but tire temp was still blank, and tire pressure showing, but still way low. I'll post a couple of screenshots when I get to my game computer.

Here are the screenshots.
Top is before the update (not sure of the version, but probably up to date on 4/18
Middle is from an online race I did today. I updated to v 1.8.1 via the "check for updates" button
Bottom is after I downloaded the .zip file and did a "repair" using the .msi (from an offline practice session)LMUR.jpg

Something must have changed - I see the same. I'll go through the code and check

EDIT: I see major change was moving from rF2 shared memory to the specific LMU shared memory. I'll have to do some testing to see why the figures aren't populated in the new shared memory. If i can't resolve, I'll revert to the old source

That was the one thing in the changelog that I suspected :).

Something else I noticed (but may have been there before). I had set up a practice session with some AI cars. When the session was over, the final standings list would show the last AI lap as being valid (with an incomplete lap time). If you go to the individual AI player laptime list, that same lap has a blank for the last sector the AI was in, and the lap was marked invalid. I just fixed it by marking all of those bad lap times as invalid in the results list and it disappeared from the final standings list.

Can you export diagnostics for me (see here - make sure you highlight the session in question when exporting) - I know I've got an issue recognising abandoned/incomplete laps and it helps if you can provide a sample

The fuel popup is weird. First it recommends far less fuel than the in-game estimations (by falstarting the race and returning to garage), then it turns out LMU was more on point and then it turns out even LMU-RC went overboard with fuel :) I'm a bit lost. I took screenshots specifically to show you this case but they Steam shots didn't cache the LMU-RC fuel overlay.

LMU_RC calculates fuel usage from your previous usage. Is the previous usage is wrong then the widget will be wrong. Check the Fuel/lap & VE/Lap on previous sessions. If any look wildly out, that will affect the calcs. There was an issue prior to 1.7.5 - the usage could either have been under or over-reported due to 2 separate issues. To properly fix this, re-load all results files - see https://community.lemansultimate.com/index.php?threads/lmu-results-companion.4566/post-79840.

Note, if you want a screenshot of the overlays, you're best using the built in Windows print screen (ie PrtScrn if you have it on your keyboard or Windows key + Shift + S if you don't)

This was actually a very old bug exposed by moving to LMU shared memory.
  • rF2 shared memory gave a tyre temp immediately at start of session but LMU only does this when driving (not in garage initially)
  • I was averaging temps over the whole session, rather than by lap and not discounting zero values so the old values were actually wrong
Should be fixed in 1.8.2
