v0.5.9

Added

Beta Overlay: session results now show a penalty badge (DT / SG / time) next to drivers who carried a penalty at the time of capture, so end-of-race time penalties are visible alongside the final standings.

Fixed

Live Timing & Beta Overlay: virtual-energy bar could stop updating mid-session if the LMU game server dropped a WebSocket connection (observed on hosted-league servers). The WebSocket connections now reconnect automatically and re-subscribe to the live-standings feed, so penalty type and virtual energy continue to update for the rest of the session.

Live Timing: reduced UI lag during multi-window sessions. Switching driver focus and toggling Broadcast Control checkboxes should feel snappier when Live Timing, Broadcast Control, and the Beta Overlay control window are all open at once.

Live Timing & Beta Overlay: GTE cars running custom liveries (e.g. league-issued Vantage / 911 RSR packs) no longer fall back to the default "LM" badge. Aston Martin Vantage and Porsche 911 RSR variants now resolve to the correct manufacturer logo.

Beta Overlay: class leaders now correctly render as triangles on the track map. Previously they were drawn as circles like every other car.

v0.6.0

Fixed

  • False yellow flags at Le Mans braking zones: off-track SM detection disabled (unreliable track-boundary data at specific corners), spin-drop detection now requires confirmation over two polls, and the lag disconnect filter catches braking-zone speed drops.
  • Replay camera snap: replay camera no longer briefly shows the car at the wrong position before settling on the incident.

v0.6.3

Added

  • Live Timing & Broadcast Control: Previous / Next camera buttons to step the focused car through the field; the Live Timing highlight now follows the focused car.
  • Broadcast Control: replay transport controls — Rewind, Play, Pause, Fast-forward, plus Slow-motion (forward and reverse).
  • Stream Deck: new Replay Transport key (rewind / play / pause / fast-forward).
  • Live Timing & Beta Overlay: tyre compounds now show on a remote PC without needing the SM Bridge, read from the game's live data feed (front / rear).
  • Manufacturer badge for the new LMP3 (ADESS) car.
Changed

Beta Overlay: the class-leader triangle on the track map now points in the car's direction of travel.
🛠️
FixedFaster connection to the game — removed a ~2-second delay when connecting on the local PC.

v0.6.4

Added
  • Live Timing & Beta Overlay: cars running different tyre compounds per corner (e.g. left Hard / right Medium) now show a 2×2 colour grid for that car instead of a single front/rear pill, matching the game's own display. This per-corner detail is read from shared memory, so it requires the SM Bridge (or a local-PC connection); the front/rear pill still works without it. It comes from live wheel telemetry, so it appears once the car is on track (the garage shows the front/rear pill).
  • Extra tyre diagnostics in the logs to help investigate any further tyre-display reports. Enable App Logs (Home screen settings) before reproducing the issue, then attach the log.
Changed
  • Driver lap history: the pit-stop tyre-change dots are now more reliable — a corner is flagged as changed if its compound swapped during the stop (e.g. Medium→Hard, or a switch to wets) as well as via the existing tyre-wear check, so compound changes are no longer missed. The dots are now also coloured by the compound fitted at each corner (dimmed for corners that weren't changed), so you can see what went on the car at a glance.

v0.6.5

Fixed

Live Timing & Beta Overlay: cars braking into, sitting in, or leaving the pits no longer raise false yellow flags. If a car that's already flagged reaches the pits, its yellow is cleared automatically.

Known issues

Virtual energy / fuel readings can be inaccurate for LMP2, LMP3 and GTE cars. This stems from the game's own data and is awaiting a fix from Motorsport Games.

v0.6.8

Added

  • Live Timing: a LIMIT status (with the sector times blanked) when a car invalidates its lap by exceeding track limits.
Changed
  • Beta Overlay: the qualifying-info panel now colours its sectors exactly like Live Timing. Each sector is coloured the instant it's completed (purple class-best, green personal-best, yellow slower), then the completed lap's sectors hold for a few seconds before clearing.

  • Live Timing: sector times now clear down a few seconds after each lap (S1 first, then S2 and S3 a second apart), and are blanked while a car sits in the pits or garage.
Fixed
  • Broadcast Control: when Pre-arm replay is enabled, the replay buffer now engages at the session start as soon as you connect, instead of waiting for the first incident and jolting into replay mid-race.

  • Beta Overlay: the class-leading car's sector no longer shows yellow instead of purple when other cars are sitting in the pits.

  • Beta Overlay: a car with an unrecognised manufacturer now shows no logo instead of a generic placeholder on the Driver Info and Qualifying Info cards.

  • Contact replay: a solo "wall" contact no longer shows an unrelated second car alongside the involved driver.
Previously known issue, now resolved
  • Virtual energy / fuel readings for LMP2, LMP3 and GTE cars appear to be reading correctly again. Please flag in #bugs if you see it return.

Hi, last night I started using LMU Broadcast Control on OBS for my live streams. I’d like to know why LMU Overlay doesn’t work for me, whereas Beta Overlay does. Also, is this the only graphic that appears on screen? Thanks

Hi there, I've not touched the in game overlay controls in a while, should probably remove that button. The tool is meant for broadcasting so if you want a different overlay to appear you need to use the buttons in the beta overlay window.
