Hey,

there are already a few LMU analysis tools out there, but I wanted something simple that:
  • works without registration
  • runs directly in the browser (no exe downloads/installs)
  • shows me basic stats - especially my fastest lap per car and track, so I don't have to manually track it in a sheet

So I built LMU Analyzer for myself-and since it's useful to me, I'm sharing it here. It's open source. You can try it here:

Just open the page, select your directory with result XML files, and it will display the data.

Key points:
  • runs entirely in the browser (also works offline)
  • no data is uploaded or stored anywhere
  • no registration required
  • can be installed as an app (PWA) on desktop or mobile
Features include:
  • fastest lap per car and track
  • theoretical fastest lap per car and track
  • detailed session info (laps, incidents, penalties, track limits, etc.)
  • aggregated stats (races, wins, podiums, fastest laps, distance, laps)
  • benchmark comparison (based on ohne_speed data)
  • export to Excel, CSV, or JSON
A few screenshots are included below.

Notes:
  • open source project
  • parts of it were built with AI, so there may be some rough edges or smaller issues
  • benchmark data relies on ohne_speed; if they change or remove it, this feature may stop working or be inaccurate
  • not sure how much time I'll have for support or updates
  • some benchmark times may not match the correct track layouts
  • works only with XML data from LMU - so no live stats

I'm liking the look of this. At first glance there are one or two glitches. It has pulled in my best lap times at Monza Curva Grande to give me very impressive times at the full Monza circuit..... ;) I also see that my pal's name has been added alongside mine, presumably from a coop race that we did?

I put in all of the race results and it produced the data impressively quickly. But presumably you have to redo this each time you open it?

One other thing - I've personally never been a huge fan of black backgrounds. Can you do a dark on lite version?

Actually is happening on all track variations.

I really like this! A clean simple version of r2la which I basically use.
 
wow.

Basically pinpoints what the official UI is missing.
It's a shame that all this data exists but they are too lazy to present it in a good way.

In my mind they should reach out to you and make this part of the in game stats and pay you a 5 figure sum.

I just pushed a new version which should fix the issues with the track variations. I also added a lightmode (upper right side).

@Aysedasi
- there is a dropdown on the upper right side which allows to select the users whose times should be taken into account. Its mainly to be able to select multiple profiles in case the user changed the name. You can probably unselect the name of your pal which will remove his times from your stats.
- regarding refresh: with chrome/edge, you can select the folder and you just need to press refresh on the upper right side to refetch the data. firefox or brave only support file upload because by default, the file system access is locked. for those browsers, you have to re-upload the files every time. if your browser supports it, the start page will have a "open folder" and a "upload files" button. if browser doesnt support it, you only see "upload files".
 
The driver selection is the only weird part imho.

I can apparently select anyone I ever raced with - which is a lot.
Even Ai drivers seem to be in the list.
Shouldn't you be able to see from the data files which drivers are the "ME" (in the 2 account case)

It's also interesting to look at the opponent stats, although only from a few races,
in an ideal world my own times/stats and those of others would be somehow more separated.

yes, agree. unfortunately, there is no clear indicator which identifies the current driver. in most of the cases, its possible to detect the driver based on single sessions and based on which driver name appears the most in the data. but if you change your name, this logic probably doesnt work, therefore i added a drop down that allows to select the drivers. not ideal, but as you noted, the nice side effect is, that you can also check times of other drivers.
 
added a few new features:
- benchmark times show your overall pace based on best lap and race pace
- benchmark times per track shows you all benchmark times, your top 10 laps, your theoretical best, all in one table
fixed a few smaller issues.
 
I'm a bit pissed that it says "midpack" a lot :ROFLMAO:
I thought I was in the top 20%, at least top 30% :cry:

aha, it's the 102% line - yeah I knew that was my best pace - apparently a bit below for most of the combos.

If only we knew how many drivers are inside e.g. the 102% we could print smth like "Top 27%"
 
With Edge, when I click on "Open folder" and select C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Le Mans Ultimate\UserData\Log\Results, I get this error: "lmu.a31.at can't open files in this folder because it contains system files".

hi! its a progressive web app and it seems its not allowed to read from this folder. i did not have this issue as my game is installed on another drive. in this case, you can just use the import files instead of connecting the folder. i'll probably pack it into an executable which would lift the restriction...but it also requires installation which i wanted to avoid

hmmm. that's bad. There's gonna be loads of ppl having it in the default location.

The practice of having user/settings files at the program's location has been discouraged by Microsoft since around 2006 iirc.
Ofc our LMU heroes still do it legacy style 20 - years later. :ROFLMAO:
 
@armin I've just run this again. I'd only just done a new Lambo GT3 pb at Spa. I noticed it wasn't there. Then I noticed also that it hasn't pulled in any sessions I've done since 9th April?

EDIT - Doh! I hadn't refreshed it.
 
Loving this tool, keep up the amazing work.

I have spotted an issue. The track name in the benchmark times tab for Paul Ricard (1A v2 short) is wrong. The game gives back Paul Ricard - 1A-V2-Short.

So i have zero sessions in the Paul Ricard (1A v2 short) one where the benchmark times are and 3 sessions in the Paul Ricard - 1A-V2-Short where there are no benchmark times.
