He is stating the obvious, in a world full of sim titles that have dozens if not hundreds of available tracks, the selection available to LMU users is limited due to the stated focus of the product(The official game of Word Endurance Racing) LMU is not the Official Game of World Endurance Racing and whatever any other group they can cobble together. What are you talking about? Only Barcelona and Paul Ricard are missing from the game.
Well, in regard to IMSA, very few of it's tracks qualify as Grade 1 circuits. WEC & I assume the cousins ELMS & ALMS also run on the same F1 level tracks. I doubt Road Atlanta, Road America, Long Beach, VIR(WONDERFUL CIRCUIT) etc etc qualify as WEC level environments. Would that be a road block or would the over-all IMSA agreement(even supposing that could happen) allow the inclusion of such tracks? The number, once we get the rest of the ELMS and then hopefully ALMS is decent, but a few of them feel very similar.
Bahrain, Qatar, and I imagine Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Silverstone is also quite flat.
I like the imsa tracks because of the elevation changes.
Good point. One I hadn’t considered. Not having anything past ELMS & ALMS isn’t a deal breaker for me.Well, in regard to IMSA, very few of it's tracks qualify as Grade 1 circuits. Why would it be a road block in a game!!??Well, in regard to IMSA, very few of it's tracks qualify as Grade 1 circuits. WEC & I assume the cousins ELMS & ALMS also run on the same F1 level tracks. Yup.If MSG and ACO do a deal with IMSA then that would be great, but you shouldn't buy a sim dedicated to a specific racing series and then complain that things outside of that aren't included.
It's not as if you can't see what's going to be included and excluded before purchase is it?
No one is complaining. Everyone understood perfectly well how many tracks there could be in the game. The question is different! Do the developers want to become the best simulator and take away a part of the huge audience of IRacing? Or do they want to bury their game? With 12 tracks in the game, players prefer only 4-5 tracks, which means that the game is 100% dead. They could have named the game "Le Mans 24 only" and made it with only one track, Le Mans! Would there be any questions for the developers? No! Can we expect such a game to be successful? No, we can't! If 397 wants to achieve success, they need to find a solution as soon as possible. Even the bloggers and friends who initially praised the game are now expressing mixed opinions. They've been playing these five tracks to death! Monza, Spa, Sebring, Le Mans, and occasionally Bahrain, and they're still going strong. It's not a fun experience, believe me.If MSG and ACO do a deal with IMSA then that would be great, but you shouldn't buy a sim dedicated to a specific racing series and then complain that things outside of that aren't included.

At a guess, the online servers are using the base game tracks (Monza, Spa, Sebring, Bahrain, Portimão, Fuji and Le Mans) to avoid the problem of requiring user to have to buy DLC.With 12 tracks in the game, players prefer only 4-5 tracks, which means that the game is 100% dead. Yes, IMSA does make sense, same cars and all. But the WEC is partially funding the development of LMU. Should IMSA get a free ride and piggyback on top of the expenditures that WEC has committed to the product? It is not our wishes so much as what the entities who control the funding. Groups like the WEC do not see LMU as an entertainment product, but an advertising device. Bring more eyes to the series, and the dozens of series sponsors.I hope this comes to light, I love Long Beach and Daytona.
Regarding some of the above comments like "It's a WEC game, why are you complaining there's no IMSA tracks" there's no reason as to why we shouldn't be able to bring WEC to other environments, it's a game end of the day and we should enjoy it how we'd like to enjoy it.
Although far-fetched, why shouldn't somebody be wanting to race a WEC car around a dirt track or something? But with this ludicrous example request aside, I think IMSA tracks are a super reasonable request to make. I just hope licensing agreements don't get in the way.
The question is not properly posed!Should IMSA get a free ride and piggyback on top of the expenditures that WEC has committed to the product?
I'd like to believe there's enough WEC stuff in LMU for everybody to know the game is based on WEC. With or without IMSA tracks.Yes, IMSA does make sense, same cars and all. I've already mentioned this, but I'll say it again. The game has a catastrophically low number of tracks. It's up to the developers to implement the top-rated and beloved tracks. They've created these limitations for themselves. Now, they need to find a way out of this situation. However, it's crucial to do so. Everyone needs content. Both regular players and bloggers. Unfortunately, without content, there's no game. We don't care if IMSA is in the advertising or not, but we need tracks! The point of this post was to take WEC to these other tracks in a virtual environment, not advertise IMSA.
This is a akin to complaining that Burger King don't sell Big Mac burgers, or that your local Ford dealer doesn't sell Chevrolet Corvettes. It's up to the developers to implement the top-rated and beloved tracks.
