I cant feel the tyres

Hi everyone

I played rfactor 2 for years and i played lmu since the first release day, I have noticed something unussual at least for me as a rf2 players which is I cant feel the tyres while I am driving, since the new gt3 tyre model was released I dont have any car control and I lose the car without any FFB info. I dont know if this is because I have some problems with my r12 base setup , I mean It is something about the new tyre model so I would like to have more opinions

I'm in the same boat as you. I just can't get any feel. I'm using an entry level, old Logitech G27 but have heard the same from others on direct drive wheels as well. Some have had success with using the LMUFFB app. When I use it I can usually rescue a lot of spins and drive with more confidence, but the feel still isn't great. It's definitely better than the ingame ffb though.

I have a DD base and I have talked to some friends about this topic and some of them are not playing right now LMU because They dont like the Tyre model, for me at least It is a quiet curious problem because I have been playing rf2 for years and all of the sudden with lmu everything has changed and I cant feel anything since they implemented this new tyre model

I've had issues with a lack of feel from the start of LMU. When I run ACC I get much more feel. Even in games like GRID Legends there is more feel. Try the LMUFFB app and see if it works for you, for some it has been a massive improvement.

Some people suggest turning up the in game FFB to maximum and then reducing it on your wheelbase. I'm trying this and I do get more feel but occasionally get brief clipping.

rFactor 2 has issues specific to the CSL DD and Podium series, after applying the workaround discussed on the forums (setting all saturation values to zero), the only force feedback (FFB) sensations remaining are those caused by tire pressure and suspension positioning. Having grown accustomed to that type of FFB, I feel that the FFB in LMU—while exhibiting slightly exaggerated friction—is not vastly different.

I’m running the new Fanatec Podium DD and have nothing negative to say about the FFB. The FFB is detailed and intuitive. I have no idea what’s going wrong for you guys, but I like the FFB in LMU on the Podium DD. The only sim where I prefer the FFB is AMS2, which, in my opinion, delivers the best FFB of all the sims.

my complaint is only about the tyre model feeling on the other hand i think current ffb is so good because I can feel a lot of details like kerbs, suspension, car weight,.. besides the overall game pack has improved a lot since rf2 days but as a former rf2 player it feels quite strange to me not to feel anything of the tyres and i dont know if it is only my problem or this affects to others.

It is a muscle memory problem. Just play LMU (limiting others sims) for a week and you brain will rearrange the feeling. It is normal.

It is possible that tire feel has been intentionally omitted to prevent the "slip angle exploit." Consequently, rF2 users who rely on tire feel for their driving tend to struggle.

I really think it is not anything about muscle memory or something like that, I remember when the game was relased it seemed like rf2 , at least more than right now, but i remember when the new tyre model was relased with first gt3 implementation , It was the first time i think I started not having feelings with the tyres but I thought it would be temporall because It was a new tyre model and probably It needed some improvents but after many months the bad sensations are still here and I have started to belive that the have problems with the tyre model.
