HUD settings - seat adjustment/view angels/FOV

Hi,

1. I did some training sessions with AI cars and my biggest problems: I do not see other cars (or too late). In other games you have a radar and/or an audio spotter. I have not found this option in LMU. If a radar/spotter is not included, I would recommend this feature. Otherwise, this is my opinion, online racing will become very "dirty".
2. I have a 21:9 monitor. The HUD in "full" mode is not correct. This should be changed and I would recommend, that each "item" of the HUD should be independent and you should be able to place it, where you like it. You should be also able to change the size of each item of the HUD (I have not found this option yet).
3. You can put the seat forward and back, change the FOV and you can move the seat up and down. It should be also possible to change the view angel up and down (I have problems to see the infos on the dashboard or the wheel otherwise).

Maybe you could implement this features

I agree !! ... but view angel= Shift + Fov ;) if I understand correctly

Hi,

1. If you like to have a radar right now, follow this link:
It is fantastic and it works perfect Many thanks.

2. concerning FOV and angel of view. I got the hint to use R Shift + 'FOV' and this worked yesterday. Today I noticed that there is another Hotfix (#2) and now R Shift + 'FOV' is not working anymore. Very strange...

Its not working that perfect ,well for me anyway. It only runs in windows, boarderless modes and that introduces frame stutters. Full screen without radar and ultimate settings its very smooth

Yes that's true; "perfect" is always relative...no Fullscreen and stutters etc. I still hope, that we get an "in-game" radar, but it is at least somthing and more than nothing...;)

Yes, the radar has to be native, overlays from Simhub often cause jerks. For the overview it would be great if at least Track IR would work but they messed that up somehow in the implantation.

Personally I don't think there should be a radar nor a spotter. The game does a good job of letting you hear a competitor next to you.
Real drivers don't have these cheats and I think racing is cleaner without them.
When people have radars, spotters or indeed intervals the moment they are in front they pull across to block the guy behind.
One of the reasons RF2 was clean was because we didn't have all these cheats and we had to be sure we were in front before pulling back onto the racing line.
This is what sets RF2 or LMU apart from more game orientated titles.

IRL you have peripheric vision and can see the position of your oponents way more accurately. The radar is just a tool to compensate the lack of vision that you would have IRL. It's like the FFB transimitting more information through the wheel than the car would do IRL, cause in the sim you don't have G-forces that are the main source of information.
