G Challenge results manipulation

Saw 3 drivers one a partnered "content creator" manipulating the results to get an insane fast lap in the logitech g challenge lobby last night.

At the start they cut almost all the corners in order to gap the pack behind, while slipstreaming each other. they worked together swapped places for the first couple of laps until they had a huge gap then they set up one car on a hot lap, he was the 2nd car, a car was about .5 in front towing the middle car, while the 3rd car behind cut all corners on the mulsane and bump drafted the main guy who was on the hotlap.

Then when he was doing insane speed down the straith the car In front pulled off, let him slingshot by. A pretty clever tactic, but also incredibly disappointing to see the cheating while everyone else in the race is trying to play it straight. And particularly disappointing from a content creator with the partner badge. I have backed up the replay files of course. I know now all these uber fast laps are bogus and none of us driving the right way have a hope of winning anything.

I have sent a very detailed report through. I really hope i hear something back from that and it's not just ignored

Added to that. I made a detailed video. Below
This is a partnered content creator with the snazzy badge cheating the entire esports event, the lobby here, the 3rd place chap here, and indeed the Logitech sponsor for the esports event out of legitimate real world value prizes. I just caught this guy once by chance, how often are they doing this, who knows, he's a sim racing coach so if this is how he coaches i would wager he's doing it quite a lot!

It's clear and disgusting and it can't stand. Video below. Do what you will.

Hi mate, so where can i see the progress of support request i submitted? It seems to have puffed into the ether with a thank you but no confirmation to email etc.
Pretty sure you don’t get an auto confirmation, and it’s Saturday so don’t expect anything soon. It’s not getting lost, don’t worry.

Everyone should watch the whole of this video. It utterly stinks. @DingBatDave - I don't know how you cottoned on to it, but thank you for posting the video. As you say, I wonder how many times these three have done this? I'm actually gutted to see results and times manipulated in such a grotesque way. These guys should be utterly ashamed of themselves. One thing I don't understand is how Dyer failed to pick up some kind of penalty for so many breaches of track limits?

Because its a bronze race you have a lot of grey area with corner cutting. that's how he's able to cut all those corners, he gets a track cut warning and accumulates penalty points, but as you can see its a very soft rule set in the bronze races, BUT the bronze races are where the esport event is held at the moment. SO. easy to exploit it i guess.

hey Spare a thought for the poor guy who qualified in 3rd position and had it stolen from him. That's a new one on me too, never saw that before. It's equally disgusting. He ended up crashing off at some point, otherwise i would be hoping he picks up a win.

ALSO! another point not made is the fact they willingly cheated to get the fastest lap and didn't even bother to let the lads on track playing correctly win the race. they rompped him line astern cruising to the finish line to take a 1,2,3 and then they tell me im "mad"

Thank you Dave for your investigation, and your frank, unfiltered and rather entertaining commentary. 👏

The devs really must ensure the harshest of action is taken against these people (and anyone else found attempting to manipulate the competition). Failure to do so will lead to serious questions about the integrity of the game as a whole, and would be a massive own goal.

Thank you. They are actively framing it as they were doing the community a service by showing S 397 these exploits.
Conveniently AFTER being caught and reported...

I looked all over my house for some wellington boots so i could wade through all the utter bull 💩 i have had to read in the last 12 or so hours.

Unfortunately i can't find any.

Well that's an interesting video indeed. I had the - well I thought I had - priviledge of battling Luke a few times on track, as it's always nice to fight with a content creator or a staff member. He didn't seem to act any differently than other drivers who are slightly faster than me.

But this puts a whole new light on this person and his team mates. Let's resume the rule breaking in this video:

5.8 Competitors are not allowed to deliberately bump draft any competitor.
5.9 Deliberately conceding slipstream to give an advantage to other competitors is strictly prohibited during all sessions.
12.5 No forms of cheating, gameplay, gamesmanship or gaining an unfair advantage in any way will be tolerated.
12.5.6 Any other behaviour as determined to be cheating, gameplay, gamesmanship or gaining an unfair advantage in any way.

If that ain't enough to get your special status revoked and a long ban (preferably for life, but they'll just make other accounts), I don't know what is. After all this is a prized event, not some random daily 30 min sprint race.

Folks on discord are saying they won't be punished because it's a daily race. So essentially they didn't break those rules you listed there.

I'm getting it in the neck all morning to be honest. I'm kind of over it. But as for the pace of luke etc. Those lads are properly fast in normal conditions. It's a real shame they do this stuff when they think no one is looking. But again. looks like LMU will not be punishing them becasue the daily races are the wild west for cheaters and exploiters. If you call someone a rude name in the chat tho. they will ban you for that

Just not for cheating an esport event. That's not the same apparently.

Since when did the rules not apply to a daily race? And moreover a daily race with prizes involved? If nothing is done - and done openly and publicly - then LMU and S397's credibility is going to take a nose dive.

No, I mean in general.
yes mate it's nuts. I would encourage all players when seeing an "alien" lap time during a race to go and review the replay. I have too many times just looked at these times and thought, my word, im crap.
It was the arrogance of the reply in the game chat that prompted me to look at the replay. I literally caught this whole thing by accident. But im fairly confident now, it's endemic particularly on the le mans track. Probably paul ricard too, across the coach dave timing boards etc etc etc and imagine the effect you would get on the le mans track without the chicanes!

To me this is quite a big deal the more you dig the worse it seems.

I hope the fact an actual content creator - a so called beacon of the community - being involved will cause some momentum into how S397 will handle this. Because if the studio wants to keep racePro subscriptions they have to make sure that the people believe in the necessity of them.

Cause if they don't give out a strong message to the community (not only the 3 drivers here), the end result will be even worse for all.
