FFB Loss Thread [Please Report in here]

I come back to my previous post,
today I find my FFB, the HUD lights up normally On the other hand the image of the hud remains fixed and the LEDs of the steering wheel do not light up.

moreover it is recognized as a "Thrusmaster advanced" (model which does not have at all the options of mine) which is a "Thrustmaster SF1000"

cordially

Laurent

I've given up hope and requested a refund on steam, keep loosing FFB between sessions is game breaking for a simluation title and no fix in sight, no acknowledgment, countless logs from everyone, everytime I ask support in discord or here, there is no dev responses, feel ignored, wish you the best for the future. Windows Version:10 Home
Steering Wheel: Thrustmaster T818
Steering Wheel Firmware Version: latest 6.01
Pedals: Thrustmaster T-LCM
Any other USB devices used with the game (Handbrakes, LapTimers etc): Thrustmaster TH8A
Online/Offline or Both: Online Race
Car Used: LMP2
Track Used: Sebring

Got a weird jolt out of nowhere in lap 1 and lost all FFB. I had to close the game, unplug/replug all devices, and "test FFB" in Thrustmaster Control Panel to get FFB back.

Last post of these I will make. Doesn't seem like anyone is listening. This is a game-breaking issue. Guess I'll be keeping my iracing subscription for now.

Guys, I'm having a very annoying issue with my Thrustmaster T500RS. I've played LMU without this issue since the game was launched, but this past weekend, I decided to format my PC and reinstall every software, LMU included obviously.

But since this formatting, I started to have this annoying issue, where my FFB simply disappear between sessions. I've already have the "Reset FFB" button set, but this is ineffective to solve the problem. The only solution I managed to see working is, in the middle of the session, to turn the power cord of the wheel off and plug it in again, and then press the "Reset FFB" button... But, if this issue happens between qualy and race, I get my race ruined, because this process makes me drive slow and I just finished a race where I got a drivethru for driving to slow, when I realized I had lose FFB and did the procedure while the grid was already going to the racing start....

If anybody knows how to solve this, I'll be much appreciated!!!

Cheers,
Bruno Fabiano

P.S.: tryed to upload the trace log from the last race I had the issue, but the forum didn't accept because the file is too large (5MB)

zip up the trace, then you should be able to upload it. Make sure your Thrustmaster software is fully up to date. Unplug as many non-necessary peripherials. Run LMU from a clean reboot of windows and then directly to LMU.

Hi Dave,
I'll try to zip the trace file and upload it here... About the Thrustmaster driver and clean O.S, as I said, I'm running a recently formated Windows in which, basically, there is just the LMU installed... What amazes me is that before I decided to format my PC, it was way "dirtier" than now, but I had never have this issue before... And I had absolutely no change in any hardware items to justify this behavior change on ffb...

Analysing the trace file from the race I started without the ffb, I saw lots of log messages related to ffb issues... This trace file is opened when you enter the server or it is opened on every new event session??? I mean, the trace file is unique since you get into the server or there is a trace file for the practice, other for the qualifying and another for the race???

Cheers

The trace file is unique per game run (from when you launch the game until you quit it/or it crashes).

If you have experienced FFB loss after Patch 2, please can you fill out the below and help us look into this and find a resolution:

Steering Wheel Firmware Version:2.00-R2.00
Pedals:TM248
Any other USB devices used with the game (Handbrakes, LapTimers etc):No

Do you have any Tracelogs:
[you can find log files in userdata/log and select most recent file after the bug is found (e.g. trace_2024_02_08_12_04_32-21)]
Hello, I lost force feedback completely halfway through an online race today, the loss was not temporary, but constant and didn't come back. With that loss of force feedback I ended up DNF'ing and losing some Driver Rating which I am pretty pissed about

Without logs, devs can't do much.
