Triple Screen Rendering on Ultrawide (Samsung G9)

Hello,

anyone who's interested in rendering your game in tripple mode on your Ultrawide Screen, these are the settings for yor DX11.ini. Thanks to @WhippyWhip who provided me with the Parameters for the G9 and a lot of Info on the Subject. The settings are Plug an Play, but you can still adjust with the tripple tool ingame. Also eye distance needs to be changed depending on your setup.

There is one tiny Problem when you run with 5120x1440 you get a little black line between middle and right screen. Running in 3840x1080 fixes that. You can run the 1440p but your horizontal res needs to be divisible by 3 to not have the black line. (maths needed, not my strong suit)

SubViews=2
UseSubViewParams=2
WorkaroundFlags=0
ViewParams=(0.401, 0.340, 0.740, 23.000, 0.000) // screen width (m), screen height (m), eye distance (m), side angle (deg), bezel gap (m)
LeftView=(0.401, 0.340, 0.740, 23.000, 0.000)
RightView=(0.401, 0.340, 0.740, 23.000, 0.000)

5118x1440 works fine as a custom resolution and is divisable by 3

i personally am just running 3840x1080 atm though as it looks decent enough for me

heres the dimensions, just change your distance to screens

screen width - 401mm
sreen height - 340mm
diagonal - 526mm/20.7inch

Tried that, game gave me not supported resolution. Or do I have to set that in the custom resolution line?

i used to do this for rf2, i dont see an issue in lmu, do u guys see distortion on yer screens? id prob go 5118 again if i did it

Yeah I mean on the edges otherwise why do this? If that makes sense? Like distortion on the edges/curvature issue?
oh, right, yeah i have an fov of 39 because i'm only 48cm from the screen, so being that close and high fov it's just much nicer to not have the stretched side and to have correct rendering, only trouble now is the game seat adjustment doesn't go forward enough :ROFLMAO:

I’m about 60 cm away and have an fov of 32 but for the 488 I have to set it back to 34 and then play with the seat. In some cars I can’t even use my irl ddu display due to the limitations. Did u use the curved monitor fov calculator? Curious how we are so far apart with fov….doesnt it go down the closer u r?

Btw thanks for sharing the info above, I’m sure we have talked before on rd with the rf2 triples setup method

Also curious if u find things like turn 1 in monza or spa radillion, seem somewhat off? T1 at monza seems very short compared to irl videos I have watched

no the closer you are to the screen the bigger the fov, i don't chat on RD so must be someone else, proabbly where i got this info from originally

i've never seen a curved monitor fov claculator, i've not found one anyway

Your 32 FOV is correct, how are you setting up the multiview?

*oh, I guess you're not if you're using FOV... d'oh

Yeah I’m not but the multi view would require fov also or is that for actual triples rather the g9 49” being simply set up as triples?

Yeah, setting it up as triples, so then you can angle the side 'screens' to correct the distortion a bit (and see further around corners, or draw more of the car close to where it should be). You should be able to do that with that resolution, like in rF2.

I’m trying to set a custom resolution of 5118x1440 in the AMD control panel but I always get an error message. Does anyone have a solution ?
