Thank you for setting up the SR system after the finish

I’m grateful that you’ve made the SR system active after the finish, so that players can lower other players’ SRs. It’s not my fault – in collisions (although it is my fault that I believed the hype and bought the game; it’s just a waste of money). The player ahead of me decided to ram into me twice – blocking my path – and in the end, I’m the one suffering because of the rating drop. Thanks, I hope you’ll come up with something else where it’s fashionable to suffer.

People running into others can cause injury just as much as when racing (if not more, when it's not expected) so SR is affected to discourage silly behaviour.

Having said that, you can press Esc after crossing the line and you will exit immediately to pits. You don't need to stop.

I think you can report this guys for intend wreck.
And for the future : use escape as Lazza said

Btw : before you had to stop the car to be able to use escape.

They deleted the video that was there; the lad went straight for a head-on collision immediately after crossing the finish line

Fitz saw the video, that's why they said you can report the driver for an intent wreck. Too late now if you didn't, though.

Videos are removed as a policy, because very often it leads to arguments and bickering.

The point is, if you keep playing LMU, press Esc after finishing. And report wreckers so they get banned.

Yeah ESC to the garage as fast as possible after you finished, drivers are "not" to be trusted... not even AFTER the race is over :cautious:

The reports don't work because, as well as the game itself, you also need to pay for a subscription to play it, so the reports are pointless
Look, I'll be honest: I really try to just reply to posts in good faith, assuming that what people say is all they know. And I'm absolutely aware of the fact the game doesn't communicate a LOT of things very well, so ignorance is basically to be expected.

And, maybe I'm about to misinterpret what you just said... please correct me if I do.

The reports do work, and don't require any sub to use. The RaceControl rules (which you would have agreed to in the game, and are available to view via your profile there any time you want, plus the RC site) explain which protests are valid in which events. Intent wrecking reports are available in all RC events. (dailies, weeklies, special events, champ races, anything else I've forgotten.... but not hosted servers)

(more stringent reporting for racing incidents etc are only available in champ races, and you need a sub to compete in those; subs can't report anything extra in dailies etc)

I realise you’re trying to say that reporting works, but judging by the RC website, it’s not included in the user options at all. After all, when I reported that player:

he received no punishment whatsoever. And that was 100% aggression, so perhaps you think that, in theory, all reports are available to everyone (except for games created in the Host section), but in practice, no matter how many times I report it, nothing happens.

That's for your garden variety on track incidents. Reports for intent-wrecks/bad rejoins/harassment/chat abuse can be made by anyone in any official online race.
  1. REPORTS & PROTESTS / DAILY RACES & SPECIAL EVENTS
    1. Reports against other players can be made after the race. This is done by selecting the dots next to the players name in the results.
    2. Daily Races & Special Events
      1. A driver can only be reported for “unsportsmanlike behaviour” or “griefing”.
      2. This feature is not intended for reporting regular on-track incidents, but mainly for the following:
        1. Crashing other drivers on purpose, even after the race has ended.
        2. Unsafe rejoin that causes multiple collisions.
        3. Griefing or directing insults in chat.
    3. Online Championships
      1. Protests can be submitted for “racing incidents” as well as above.
      2. Those submitted for Online Championships are prioritisedfor review and can result in the following:
        1. Strike – prescribed as a warning – multiple strikes can result in further penalty.
        2. Safety Rating (SR) reduction – can be applied for fault collisions & incidents.
        3. Championship Points deduction – a player can have points deducted for repeat offences and serious incidents.
        4. Ban – a player maybe banned from Online for a period of time for causing incidents or intentionally.
    4. Abusing the Report system may find the user being suspended or banned from online services.
    5. The parties involved will receive an automated email once the report has been reviewed and any action taken.

I'm really not interested in going down the "reports don't work!" rabbit hole.

Intent wrecks - proper intent wrecks - are reportable and get people banned. Subs make no difference, it's available to everyone.

Incident reports are for much less obvious things. Again, it's in the rules.

Now let’s go back to the screenshot above – if you have the Lite version, appeals are not processed; to have them processed, you need to purchase the Pro version or higher.
It also states that you will receive an email regarding the results. As I have the Lite version, appeals are not processed, and I have not received a single email regarding incidents of aggression. Hence the conclusion.

You don’t even need to sign up. The homepage states: ‘Lite version (appeals are not considered); Pro version (appeals are considered)’. :)
