Post processing in VR

did a couple of hours yesterday in LMU to tune my new wheel combo (SIMAGIC ALPHA and NEO GT)

running the Game on my PSVR2 headset at 3200:3200 resolution and High graphics, it was honestly a pretty good looking and smooth 90fps locked experience in Daytime condition with 30cars on track

will do more testing when I come back from the US with harder conditions(night, rain, more cars) but possibly using the settings.json tip suggested here

Very pleased I posted these settings;

I got carried away, and lost, as you do tweaking, and bar the MSAA X8, now set to X4, which I recommend in VR, thanks to Ibovay. These got me back to a solid 90 FPS from the very start of a race at night.

Also with AF at 16x yeah 😂 I tested AF briefly myself and found between 1-3ms GPU difference between trilinear and 16x AF. Obviously trilinear blurs distant textures a lot more, but on the plus side it also seems to reduce distance aliasing. And on my Rift S (still only running it at 1x SS at the moment) everything is a bit blurry anyway. So the loss of texture sharpness isn't hugely missed.

That video of Gary's testing PP, do you have a link to it? Was he also looking at CPU or GPU usage? Just thinking if you have a beast of a machine you might still be able to run high PP without FPS drop, but you'd surely have eaten a huge amount of headroom to get there.

He starts testing at about one hour twenty;
