Yes, that's exactly how it should be. ! It takes away a lot of the immersion. Total crap

But you can adjust something. A user in a German forum told me:
open file "Settings.JSON" in the steamapps\common\Le Mans Ultimate\UserData\player folder
"Automatic Pit Menu":4,
0=disabled
1=upon pit ENTRY, change cockpit menu but do not bring up HUD
2=pit ENTRY->cockpit & HUD
3=pit REQUEST->cockpit menu only
4=pit REQUEST->cockpit & HUD",
I have is changed to 0

Yes, yes, why just last week during the Petite Le Mans broadcast, there was in-car video of driver after driver fiddling with the wheel while driving, trying to setup tires, compounds, pressures, deciding fuel and whether brakes or damage needed to be addressed. Yup, sure am glad we have kept that blessed immersion thing going... ... ... .. . . . .

No need for that. Nothing wrong with people preferring one over the other. Nobodies asking to take the pause/pit menu away, just would be nice for those of us who prefer a seamless race without the pause to have that option.
