Pit crew

+1, but please make sure it is a high-quality motion capture. There is nothing worse than artificial movements of the crew, uncanny valley, and low-quality bodies and textures (then I prefer to not have pit crew at all).

Watching races on TV is a lot about feeling the atmosphere in the pit, which is busy, very alive, crowded. None of the games have been able to reproduce this yet.

Pushing back into garage when badly damaged, this is not allowed in WEC and won't be implemented in game either - if you have any outside assistance you are auto DNF'd.

I think he meant the car is moved from the pitlane box ("stopping area") to the garage, when there are extensive repairs to be made.
Code:
12.3 Other interventions on the car
    12.3.1 Repairs in the garage
    The car can return inside its garage for any type of intervention.
    The restrictions regarding equipment and personnel do not apply
    when the car is in the garage.
    Nevertheless, refuelling is not authorised in the garage and can
    only take place in the stopping area.
    Furthermore, during the race, it is forbidden to proceed with the
    total or partial replacement of the following parts:
        - the engine: cylinder head, block and/or components;
        - the gearbox: main and differential housings;
        - and the chassis: survival cell.

BTW, same regulations state at 12.1.1 that:
Code:
Cars cannot enter or exit their garage under their own power.

The only time it is prohibited for a car to go into its garage is during qualifying.
Code:
10.2.3 Specific provisions for the qualifying practice
    During the qualifying sessions, it is prohibited:
    o for a car to go into its garage; it must stay on the pit lane
      (under penalty of cancellation of the times set before the car
      entered its garage).
    o To refuel.

I've been loving LMU so far but I've found going into the pits to be a bit... underwhelming? I love the electric bump start on the V-Series.R but I was really hoping they had animated pit crews, for how long WEC Pit-Stops can be just the car flouting in the air was a bit boring.

Anyone know if we will be getting animations like ACC? Or will they stay like this?

The benchmark here is ACC - you see the crew doing their job AND: the sound inside the car when changing tires is awesome! You can hear on which tire they are working.
Its not a must feature we need in the next 6 month but i would expect that within the next 12 month. especially with a better sound.
No, its not. ACC is a sad excuse for: look we have a pitcrew - ONE! crew and you see only your own crew. The benchmark is Project Cars 2 - there is the whole pit filled with crews when cars come in - that is what i want.

watch. Bad quality as i recorded with triples and the pits are not filled, but you may get the idea ,), crews are going back into their pit, Pitboy is weaving you in ...
