I do not know if someone else reported, but while in replay the API is not working. Games doesn't send any information.
Yea but i dont think that is a bug to be honest, not many games save that data.I do not know if someone else reported, but while in replay the API is not working. Games doesn't send any information.
But you don't have to save any data, just keep sending what is happening on the race.Yea but i dont think that is a bug to be honest, not many games save that data.
Hi, could you provide me with screenshots of your LMU streaming application?I've had this functionality and more for some time - only shared with one community so far but if there's interest I might make it publicly available?
- Yellow flag detection/history with replay log
- Custom replays
- Camera controls
- Custom graphics/stats
- Track map
- Live/average ve usage
- Penalty info
- Pit stop timings
- Etc.
Some examples. In a practice session hence some missing/weird dataHi, could you provide me with screenshots of your LMU streaming application?
Thanks and Happy New Year

For broadcaster, you can now directly open your game to the network with change this line in Settings.JSON
JSON:"WebUI bind": "localhost",
to
JSON:"WebUI bind": "0.0.0.0",
You don't need to use anymore -useJava.
Hi,I think we are getting a little off topic here. This thread is for the BROADCAST OVERLAYS which are official, not third party.
Please re-read post #1.
Thank you.
I feel like we've been left with no option in this regard, but appreciate this forum is for official support only. As I've previously mentioned, the streams and broadcasts directly influence the popularity of the game. It doesn't sound like this is a priority as some quite basic bugs have been left unfixed for a very long time.I think we are getting a little off topic here. Currently, the WebSocket is configured to operate on localhost.
As a result, even if the WebUI IP is set to 0.0.0.0, control and overlays are not working on other computers.
It is working on the computer where the game is running.
Can you tell me by any chance if this will be fixed in the near future? Thanks in advance! This is known.
It should be fixed now

Broadcast Overlay & Control Panel Issues
Hi, I’ve encountered several issues with the broadcast overlay and control panel:
1. Driver selection (Control Panel)
Clicking on a driver’s name does not switch to that driver.
It only works when selecting “Trackside” or “Onboard”.
2. Manufacturer logos (Custom skins)
Manufacturer logos are not displayed when using custom liveries.
3. Cadillac logo color
The Cadillac logo is shown in white.
It should be black, matching official broadcast graphics.
4. Timing tower scaling
The tower does not scale, which means only one class can be viewed at a time.
5. Driver & team name display
Driver and team names are limited to 3-letter abbreviations when cars are on track.
There is currently no option to change this.
6. Comparison tool not working
The comparison feature does not work:
- Car 1 and Car 2 are not shown
- No data is displayed
- No comparison metrics are generated
7. Race state (Green flag)
The session does not automatically switch to “Green” when the race starts.
This has to be done manually.
Broadcast Overlay – Feature Requests & Improvements
Hi, here are additional feature requests and improvements that would significantly enhance the broadcast system:
1. Timing Tower – Customization Options
- Ability to select how many drivers are shown in the tower
- Ability to filter which classes are displayed
2. Name Display Options
We need configurable name formats in the tower:
- Abbreviation (current)
- Last name
- First initial + last name (e.g. F. Lastname)
- Team name
3. Results Overlay (Critical Improvement)
A proper results overlay needs to be implemented.
Current Issue:
Expected Behavior:
- Gaps are incorrect (e.g. showing 0.123 instead of actual gap at start/finish)
- Gaps should be calculated based on crossing the start/finish line
- Accurate final classification and timing
4. Mid-Race Graphics
- Add a “Mid Race” overlay for longer races
5. Starting Grid Overlay
- Full starting grid presentation before race start
6. Tyre & Stint Data
We need more detailed race data:
- Current tyre compound
- Whether tyres are new or used
- Number of laps on current tyres
- Number of laps since last pit stop
7. Pit Stop Information
- Pit stop duration
- Indication if tyres were changed or not
HIGH PRIORITY
8. Custom Skins & Driver Images
Custom assets are critical for broadcast quality.
Required options:
Includes:
- Ability to pull images automatically from RaceControl
OR- Ability to define a local folder where custom images can be stored and used
- Car skins
- Team logos
- Driver profile images
9. Championship Standings Integration
- Ability to import championship data via CSV
- Display custom championship standings in overlay
10. Battle Overlay
- Add a battle overlay (e.g. for close fights)
- Should also be optionally integrated into the tower
11. Replay System (Separate Tool)
We need a dedicated replay control system.
Required functionality:
(This is already implemented in other broadcast tools, so it should be feasible.)
- Save key events (e.g. yellow flags, overtakes)
- Trigger replay playback manually
- Overlay should switch to a “Replay Mode” automatically
12. Event & Info Customization
- Ability to edit event-specific data (event name, session info, etc.)
13. Track Information
- Track-specific info overlays should be added
- Should match real-world broadcast data (since licensing is available)
14. League Branding
- Ability to add custom league branding:
- Logos on results screen
- Logos on championship standings
15. UI Transitions & Animations
- Add smooth transitions between overlays:
- Switching towers
- Changing name formats
- Switching graphics
Final Note
These features are essential for creating a professional broadcast experience and aligning the overlay system with modern sim racing broadcast standards.
