Moza - FFB Settings

Completely subjective of course but since the FFB lost some key details on Dec 10 these are the settings I've used to get a bit of feeling back in my R12:

Pithouse:
FFB: 100%
Wheel Speed: 100%
Interpolation: 2
Damping: 25%
Friction: 0
Inertia: 0
Spring Strength: 50%
Speed Damping: 0
Equalizer: All 100%

In Game:
FFB: 65% all cars - Hypercar - 75%
Smoothing: 1
These work well for me. I get a dead spot mid corner though.

Unfortunately, nothing helps me. All the time when I'm driving in a straight line I have to fight with the steering wheel, the steering wheel starts to oscillate so much that I can't hold it.

You need to select Inverse FFB in the calibration settings. If it's off, turn it on. If it's on, turn it off.

Otherwise it will pull when it should be pushing, so it's like the centre is at the top of the mountain and it wants to just fall off on either side.

*ok, I'm assuming that's what it is. Oscillation can be other things.. but Moza is one that seems to catch people out with inversed FFB.

But only touch one of them there is a inverse setting ingame and in pit house now just use one or the other.

I've tried inverted before, unfortunately it doesn't help. I don't know what's wrong anymore. Each turn taken at higher speed ends with a jerk of the steering wheel and a spin of the car and oscillation

It's a Moza issue, I had an R9 that was very bad for it and then when I got the R12 it was a lot better but it seems with each firmware update it gets slightly worse. It's not too bad if I grip the wheel tight enough and I run the game at 65% FFB in game on the R12

I have an R9 v2 and it does oscillate if I take both hands off the wheel but otherwise it's fine... well as far as I can tell :)

See what it looks like in my pit stop. Now imagine what happens to the steering wheel when the speed exceeds 200 km/h
@LegendFranchise But it's not about fighting and gripping the steering wheel with all your might I would like to enjoy driving, but struggling with the steering wheel only interferes with racing

Your video here is “normal” stationary oscillation. Varies between wheelbases, and Moza is perhaps on the worse end, but it’s not an issue when actually driving.

Show your pithouse and game settings, in case other Moza users can help.

I've already written to Moza's Discord, they didn't help me much
If you turn the steering wheel slightly, it starts oscillating and the car is uncontrollable

Thanks for the new video, that's a better demonstration.

Looks to me like a couple of your settings are probably contributing to this.

I don't have Moza, but there's a section on the LMU discord where users can share their profile settings, and comparing to those I'd say try this:
  • Force feedback interpolation: 0
  • Consider trying damping, friction, and inertia all on 0; but this may not be a factor in oscillation, just more raw feeling.
The equalizer, you can't have everything except the lowest on 0. That will filter everything except oscillation. Start with everything on 100%, maybe lower the last few to take out excess vibrations.

If you can jump on the discord and take a look there, or probably some other posts on this forum, I think you'll find settings that work better.

voici mes réglages Moza R21 v1 Ssi ça peut aider.

I tried to set it according to your recommendations, it seems to be better, but I still can't control the car during a countermeasure and the steering wheel starts to oscillate very strongly. This makes racing very difficult. I guess I just have to wait, maybe Moza will release an update

Could someone post a video of how his base behaves? I would like to compare it with what is happening in my case and possibly send my R12 base under warranty. The videos do not have to be about R12, they can be any other base

This is my Moza R9 v2
It only wobbles if I propmpt it to by giving it a "shove" but as soon as I put my hand on the wheel it's OK

I think, @Piotrek Blaszczak , it's really a case of how strong the wobble is.
Mine is very weak; as soon as I touch the wheel it stops and I can't feel it through the wheel either.
It certainly isn't a problem when I'm using it.
As @Lazza said in post #70, this seems to a common or normal trait

I don't know what to think about it anymore, it seems to me that it shouldn't be like this and, at least in my case, it has a negative impact on driving.
