Well, this is my second post in this support section since last patch came. I put also in this section, I think is the right one.
Today I decided to play the game despite having stutters/frame drops. I did 4 races, each one 30 minutes long in different tracks all of them with sunny weather (26-28 celsius degrees), seasons 2023 and 2024. In all of them with a LMP2 car, my tyres where cold the hole race, not warming after a few laps as usually happen, or warming a bit but getting inmediately cold again.
This never happened to me before last patch.
Here you can see it

I know the issue, but I'd debate that it didn't happen before the patch (DLC). I think the cold tyres issue was widely reported before the update.

In my case it did happen only after the patch. I'm sure because I only drive LMP2 and never had this problem before

To be honest, having done a few Le Mans races in the LMP2s in the last couple of days I haven't noticed a loss of grip.

I did get into depht with the analysis only with this car because I´ve seen the tyres never going green. I also enjoy driving and around issues, but in my case I don´t feel the car having proper grip. That´s why I did created this thread.

Going back as far as GPL, there have always been fast people who could warm up the tires and energize the grip better than others. I will only pass on one teeny tiny hint. Drag the brakes down pit lane, that will warm-up the brakes and SLIGHTLY warm up the tires. Dab the brakes harder a few times and that will also generate some heat.
In the last online race I did, GTE, there was a fellow ahead of me at Monza who was weaving on both straights through the entire race, trying to build tire heat I'm assuming. (he was far enough ahead so that it wasn't blocking)

I've been doing this for a long time..... ;)

Someone could be mistaken for thinking you're suggesting brake heat transfers into the wheels and tyres, which isn't the case.

Sure appears to, I drag the brakes and they heat up and tiny little flare of color shows up on the front tire icons. But, if not then I stepped in something ....AGAIN!!!

Unless your driving hard the tyres will not get up to temp, I can feel the difference after a lap or so. I don't use the tyre hud and can't see that menu were the telemetry is as it's not working 100% yet in VR.

But are we saying the core tyre temp is not effected by the brake heat as I think that would be modelled in the SIM.
