Hi,
During the 6 hours of Monza, we were in Hypercar and a team member joined the lobby after the race start. Then because he got the engineer role it changed all the setup changes you can do in a pitstop to whatever the default setup is.
Example; I loaded the setup and did the race start/quali. It had 6 as the rear wing setting. Then once my teammate took over it had reset to 5, which is the default setup.
Obviously this made the car very difficult and twitchy to drive in fast corners. Every time someone left the lobby and then rejoined the settings reset to 5 rear wing, and we had to make sure it was set at 6 before the stop.
This happened to us in QATAR also if you read my above report. I loaded the setup, I qualied & started the race. Pitted us in P6 after a double stint & when I came into the pit stop, Phil our second driver did all the engineering stuff to set the pit stop up. When he got in the car, It was entirely undrivable, I mean it wouldn't even turn or not just spin in circles at low speed like the 0% tire glitch again, He could barely complete 1 lap that took over 4 minutes to do, Yet all 4 tires including 2 hard tires on the left, ALL burned down to 70 % exactly evenly. I sent him the setup, He tried to put the setup in the folder for QATAR like you would do, Yet it would not show up in his setup folder. We figured as long as I started the race & loaded the setup onto the car, We would be fine. Like in Iracing, When 1 driver loads the setup onto the car, Its just ON the car period. All these types of bugs & glitches just seem so amateurish. I mean, Anytime you tab out of game or not even for any real reason, You FFB will just be gone & have to reset it CONSTANTLY. Have they fixed that ? no, Just add a reset button.
What other sim has an option in settings to force your wheel to not turn off ? I mean I want you all to think of the ideocracy of that for a second here. WHY would I need an option to NOT turn my wheel off when im PLAYING A SIM RACING GAME. Again, More issues that have been around since Rfactor2, Instead of fix it, Just put some option in settings to not turn your wheel off, Which doesn't work BTW.
We had to DNF ourselves as we where a massive danger to everybody else on the track. Completely ruined our race, No idea how this company is still stead fast rushing toward the Virtual WEC qualifiers when the game barely functions still when it comes to enduro racing / team racing.
When your wheel can just randomly disconnect at any given pit stop, Or some setup bug / glitch like this can happen and ruin so much invested time & effort, I just don't see it being a good idea. Apparently this has all been a known issue since Rfactor2, So why is it still a problem ?
