Hello, if i remember well you have two data.
Real Name and Nick Name.
Nick name is used by default, but the problem is server can enforce real name.
If you want to change your actual real name, you need to wait 30 days or ask here in the dedicated post.

I have started the game and I still cannot find any submenu where I could enter a Nick Name/Screen Name.
The only way is to edit your profile where First Name, Last Name, Nationality and E-Mail can be edited.
Seems this game requires a Real Name to be played online. A real name which is then made publicly available to members of your split and can easily be spread all over the internet.
Interesting decision of the legal department of the studio/publisher, since Steam is open for minors (age of fourteen years) and there is no age restriction on the game.

I will check I'm surely confused with rFactor2 ... as often ... which has two different names.
And that was a good thing if used well.
Real Name is the opposite of Fake Name.
I think they only want normal "real life" like names and not names like cartoon, tags, bad words or trick names like Pi Zaiolo

The terms of use which are available through the profile menu in the game clearly demand your "official" real name.
