Car specific FFB key assignment

In the context of LMU (and rF2), it is currently not feasible to map buttons directly to the vehicle-specific Force Feedback settings, a feature that is readily available in other simulations such as AC, ACC, and AMS2.

Consequently, when on the track, one must exit to the options menu to adjust this critical parameter, which hinders the ability to fine-tune the specific Force Feedback settings for each vehicle while in action.

Implementing this functionality should be relatively straightforward.

I appreciate your attention to this matter.

FFB already gets scaled in different cars, so you aren't getting the 'true' difference either unless you set the capability up around 40. All anyone can do by adjusting live is compensate for their unrealistically weak/heavy wheel by turning it up. There's really no advantage here.

I really am hoping to get the 'true' difference. You're right.

What do you mean by "set the capability up around 40." ?

Like rF2, whether cars are scaled down to true forces is determined by your wheel torque capability. If a car's nominal max torque matches or exceeds your wheel it will be scaled 0-100 like normal.

Last time I checked (or read from others) the lowest torque values in LMU cars are into the low 30s, some up to 40 or so. If you don't set your steering torque capability at least above the lowest you won't get variation in peak FFB levels. Of course the shape/character up to that point may vary, but that applies to those with 0-100 scaling too.

In reality with power steering all these cars are probably usually driven with less than 10Nm peak cornering force.

If the other games have it, it will have its justification.
Why are they so awkward? Be begging so that everyone from 27 - 57 inches can adjust their seat correctly. But they don't integrate the pitch...? ! ?

And because of FFB by car -
This is a given in all other sensible Sims. Nobody talks about it not being “realistic”, etc.

What have they been doing in the last 3 months??
Burning the coal in the Bahamas...

Its not shown in the Options for some reason but you can adjust the Pitch with "right shift" + the buttons you set for vfov.

Hope they sometime implement car specific ffb. It bothers me to change ffb Settings bevor the sessions.

I don't need this anymore,
SimuCube now has "Auto profile Switching"
SimuCube tuner recognizes which car I am going to drive and automatically chooses the correct profile.
Fantastic

But that does not allow for micro adjustments in car. Often I find diff tracks make me want to change FFB on some cars.

If your fine with just 1 setting per car....the game already saves the ffb per car.

I'm not sure on the new tuner compared to the old true drive if only for the UI in the new app.

Simagic hardware is top-notch, but the software and support are terrible. People have been waiting over 650 days for an update that will finally automatically adjust the steering angle in Raceroom.

And the fact that you can't do FFB by car at LMU is pathetic

Summer 2025, still not implemented. :-(

Can not agree more about Simagic poor SW

And really S397 the per car FFB guys please

Il faut y croire 🙃
No sorry it’s dead hopes for me

Why because I believe that fundamentally S397 don’t want us the users to alter it
I kind of regret selling my MOZA R9 because with the mobile app I could adjust the FFB on the fly

But of course not convenient as much as a built in Game solution

Again that comes from RF2 roots so we will never get it in LMU
