Patch #3 Hotfix #3 - 14th May 2024 [Build 14290093]​

  • Fixed an issue where cars would disappear from the starting grid
  • Fixed an issue where changing setting in the pit menu shortly before a stop can cause players to get stuck in the pitbox without receiving a service

Please note: we are aware that some users are experiencing FFB issues please use the ffb-pub steam beta branch to try an experimental configuration for this. We are collating feedback for this through Discord.

General and Code Updates​

  • Fixed a crash when whilst joining an online-session
  • Fixed allowed seat movement ranges not loading from cars
  • Changed force feedback (FFB) per car to standardise forces across all vehicles - note: you may need to change your strength settings if you only drive one particular car or class

Patch #2 Hotfix #3 - 10th April 2024 [Build 13988648]​

Patch #2 Hotfix #2 - 5th April 2024 [Build 13948185]​

  • Rolled back a fix for restoring FFB after full screen alt tabbing, as it maybe causing some people to lose FFB in other situations such as session change or returning to the main menu.

Patch #2 Hotfix 1 - 28th March 2024 - [Build 13883943]​

  • Updated FFB to react differently with fast changes in force levels, particularly seen when other users join the server,
    • NB: previous-release is now a branch accessible to all users on steam and can be accessed by visiting Steam > Library > Le Mans Ultimate > Properties > Betas in the drop down menu. With this you will be able to use Patch 2 without the hotfix 1 at this time.

General and Code Updates​

  • Integrate crash reporting software to automatically collect crash reports
  • Fix crashes when no sound devices is available
  • Fixed an issue that would cause cars to collide if one of them teleported close to the other in an online session - disabled collision for teleporting cars if they end up in other cars

AI​

  • Improved AI ability to avoid other cars by both braking and turn in
  • AI are more careful in unclear situations (slow, unpredictable cars ahead)
  • Fixed an error in strategy causing fuel logging to fail along with wrong conditions being used for strategy calculations. This fixes various situations in which AI would behave incorrectly.
  • Improved AI full grid turn 1 situations - less contact, cars no longer occasionally come to a full stop
  • AI can predict better whether it is safe to lift before corners in order to carry more momentum for lapping another car on exit
  • AI can now pick closing gaps on flat out sections of the circuit and predicts whether the car ahead leaves space or not - should help in not-quite-straight situations that otherwise never have enough space in one go to overtake around a specific side
  • Lapped cars no longer immediately attempt to re-overtake when they get the chance
  • Much less aggressive overtaking attempts, so AI don't get out of shape as much anymore
  • AI no longer brake at the last possible moment when there is a car ahead, instead in situations that require it they'll be more careful
  • AI now try to carry a little bit more speed into braking zones when overtaking and lapping
  • Improved lift and brake logic to avoid getting too close to other cars
  • AI tyre wear is now hidden from player on HUD

UI​

    • Video is now skippable
    • First time user difficulty select now better matches in-game settings
    • Email validation is now less strict allowing “+” and other similar valid email characters
    • Temporarily removed names being registered with symbols as it was causing backend issues. This will be returned when we have made the required changed

General Updates​

  • Fixed a crash when TGM option is enabled, often affecting triple screen users due to the default key combination

  • Users are now prevented from driving off during pre-race countdown
  • Added an error notification for registering for an event when it’s full after we have started servers - please register at least 6 minutes before a session to be guaranteed a space
  • Those who have not validated their email will now receive a message to do so when trying to go online
  • There is now a countdown to the race start in monitor
    • Also removed the scary retire message if you are on grid
  • Fixed an issue of previously registered drivers showing up in other event pages
  • Fixed sometimes being sent to the wrong event when leaving a practice server
  • On race monitor screen you can now see the info for all sessions on the left
